Haven't heard too many really great albums this year - until I came upon this Norwegian group with the decidedly American name of "DELAWARE". Not American sounding, though. No, rather like a number of other lesser-known Euro bands I love, like Iceland's "LEAVES" or the British band "SOUTH". Bands that can take the rather boring guitar-bass-drums sound to new heights, by simply employing great space, texture and melodic songwriting in their output. A description of these guys might even be: a harder version of a combination of Radiohead and Coldplay! Or, if you're into any of the new generation of Brit-pop bands like Keane, Snow Patrol or The Doves, then this album is for you - a collection of great songs, that flow in shades of quiet and loud, with vocals that run the gamut from croon to angst, usually in the space of one song! Really, check this out! I can only imagine how great their future output could be.....if people will only catch on to them now.

This band is amazing. I downloaded an iTunes sampler from Facebook and when I heard the song Wish for, I was totally hooked. I just ordered the CD and can't wait to get it. I highly recommend this CD.

Just found this group while scanning the Metropolis Records Lable and was amazed. Crisp and melodic, a welcome blend of the songs that invoke a faint smile and quite thoughfullness, as well as a few that get the blood pumping.
