I really enjoyed the first Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes, so I bought the second one as soon as it was released. I was not disappointed, and I enjoyed this game just as much as the first. The gameplay and style are exactly the same as the first game, but the sequel offers new cases. For those unfamiliar with the series, this is primarily a hidden object game, punctuated by logic-style puzzles at the end of each chapter. The game features a series of Sherlock Holmes cases, and you must search a variety of locations to find clues to solve the mystery. Each location reveals a number of potential suspects, and the conclusion involves solving a logic and memory puzzle to determine which party is guilty. The cases are well-written, and the hidden object scenes are appropriate to the time and place in question (late-19th c. London). The suspects are believable, and the objects one must find to discover suspects are appropriate to the story (perfume bottles for the mistress of a prominent politician, for example). Those who enjoyed the first game will certainly want to play the second. Don't expect innovation, just more of what made the first game fun. This is definitely one of the more fulfilling hidden object games I've played recently.

I love playing this Sherlock Holmes game. It is not a short game like many of the hidden items games are. It served me well for many hrs. At the end of ea book they show you a list of suspects & you can eliminate them one by one. It's not hard to do. I wish they would make more games like this one. Even wish they had more Sherlock Holmes versions. Love this game.

This game got high marks so I downloaded it and I was not that impressed. It is a series of short games that all share the same formula for solving crimes. If you want to get lost in a long game, and become part of the world of the game, then this is not for you.

This version by Legacy Interactive is not challenging...and the graphics are less than appealing. The objects were very (too) easy to find; the audio is fine. If like me, you played the first Sherlock Holmes game by the different developer/publisher (listed in title of this review), you will be disappointed by the graphics and easiness in this one. Have played the first version of this game (not made by Legacy) and was absorbed by the game, the beautiful graphics, well hidden objects and the story lines. Have finished the first eight cases and am very disappointed, I don't want to finish it. The bonus stories are just novels to read...not games, there are four of them. You've been warned and encouraged to wait until Trygames makes the second version of this, don't buy this one - try the trial first (I should have).

I am a huge fan of hidden object and puzzle games and even more so of Sherlock Holmes. I was thrilled to see this on sale and purchased it at once. The gameplay was evenly paced, the puzzles easy-to-medium difficulty and there were always hints available if needed. I enjoyed the entire gaming experience and would definitely recommend it to a mystery buff or puzzle gamer.

This game is very redundant. If you like hidden object games, you make like this one, but that is about all you get. The stories are very superficial and disjointed. I was disappointed.

I already have SH Cases #1 & liked the format, so I was glad to see another one was available. I like looking for the hidden clues, as it keeps my mind active. The puzzles are not too difficult so that it's hard to find the objects.

One more thing-the download program was super fast, almost 300 megs in 7 mins. (Fast for me, at least, as I thought it might take about an hour)which was impressive. I like Amazon's program in this area.
