5.0 out of 5 stars The Choice is Yours!
The Lost Choice is a compelling book that starts your wheels in motion--makes you begin to think! What choices have I made, what choices can I make? Young or old, it is not too early or too late to make a difference in your life and those around you. Because of this book, I have personally taken a look at where I am in life and decided I have a few more choices to...

1.0 out of 5 stars The Lost Choice
The Travler's gift was wonderful. The Young Traveler's Gift is the same book just a younger person. Other than that, the books are word for word. The Lost Choice still should be lost! Yep, that's right. Hard to believe that it's from the same writer. The whole book finally leads up to two pages in the back of the book. Then it's like wham - Here it is!! Then I was like,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Mixture of History and Legend - A Must Read!, July 12, 2004
By
This review is from: The Lost Choice: A Legend of Personal Discovery (Hardcover)
In The Lost Choice Andy Andrews weaves together history and legend to deliver a very positive, heart-warming message about the value of all human beings and the impact an individual has. His detailed historical settings and characters combined with his compelling writing makes for a real page turner.

The relationship Andrews develops between the main characters of the book is appealing and draws the reader into this circle of friends. As these friends get to know and like each other more, the reader is also growing to know and like them better as well. As the main characters embark on a journey of discovery you are compelled to journey with them.

As a father, I found the concept of legacy between generations that Andrews develops incredibly interesting and emotionally stirring.

There are only a few books that I can honestly say "changed me", The Lost Choice is one of those books. I read it in three sittings and could barely put it down. I highly recommend it!

I felt like an magical force lead me across the floor of the local bookstore and right to this book. I had read The Travelers Gift, which is awesome, so I figured Andy Andrews new book was likely a must read. A picked it up, read some of the quotes and a voice in my head said "buy it." I'm glad I did. While anytime is the right to read this book, the timing for me couldn't have been better. I am about to make some choices regarding my business that have had me stumped for quite some time. After reading this book, the fog cleared and I now know the direction in which I wish to go.

I must warn you that this book will move you and shake you. And you could erupt at any moment into tears - of joy. You better get ready for a new life - this is very powerful stuff. In fact, I would find it impossible for you to read this and not be changed - in a very good way.

While reading the book you will have a profound respect for human potential - particularly yours. You will be ready and more than willing to make a difference in the world, and what a difference that can make in your life! The power is truly within you, and you will come to know it just in case you've had any doubts.

Andy has a special gift for storytelling which makes this book both an enjoyable and inspirational learning experience. I give this book my highest recommendation. Don't wait. Buy this book and let Andy Andrews moving story change your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Choice, July 9, 2004

People are always recommending this book or that. But your BEST choice is The Lost Choice. It is really capitivating, entertaining and inspiring. (Don't be fooled, some so-called "inspirational" books are dry and sleep aids. Here you are inspired WHILE being entertained.) I bought it on one afternoon and finished it at 7 am the next morning. I could not put it down, even while taking care of 3 children! By reading this book you will remember your significance in this world, even when you are apt to forget. This book was a much needed boost in my life. Now, I am telling everyone about it - and giving them away as gifts. I want all my friends and family to be blessed by the message in this book, too. Andy Andrews does a fantastic job of story telling that catapults you into different lives and times of the characters so that you feel as though YOU are living out the story! You will read faster and faster, anxiously looking for the next big adventure. Do yourself and the ones you love a big favor and get this book today - and read it before anything else! Thanks, Andy, for ANOTHER life changing experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars 6 Stars, July 7, 2004
This review is from: The Lost Choice: A Legend of Personal Discovery (Hardcover)
If you can imagine, the time is 3:30 AM, like in the morning, and I am reading The Lost Choice. I found the book compelling and I was unable to put it down. I particularly like not only what Andy Andrews had to write about, I liked the way he wrote it. It was extremely interesting, held my attention and conveyed a most worthwhile message. If you read his first book, The Traveler's Gift, you can understand that something you do can ultimately change the world. The Lost Choice takes it a step further. If you have a belief and then constantly ask yourself "If I truly believed what I think I believe, what would I say or do to be compliant with that belief?" If you do this and you constantly say and do things that serve a purpose, you CAN ultimately change the world. "By your hand, the world will be changed!" While this was not one of the ancient scripts described in the book, it certainly applies to Andy Andrews. By his hand, lives could be changed and should that happen, the world will be changed. How many people can say that about that which they do and say? My life has been changed by The Traveler's Gift and what I now say and do is being changed by The Lost Choice. Words would simply do an injustice as to how important I believe this book to be. If you were permitted to read only one more book in your life, it should be this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars A relaxing and thought-provoking read, if a bit predictable, July 23, 2005
What did Joan of Arc, our founding fathers, George Washington Carver and a Vanderbilt have in common? This fictional story is a bit hard to believe, but if you are willing to suspend your belief for a few hours you can enjoy some light reading that supposedly answers that question. The modern day segments are less interesting than the historical flashbacks, but overall this is a fun book to read with a message that just might leave you inspired. This bargain book was a bargain to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was hooked on the first page!, July 9, 2004

I seldom read self-help type books but started this one and was hooked by the first page. I literally read it in 2 days. The story is exceptional. It would be a great book to read to or with others and discuss what happens as the story unfolds. When I finished, I read parts of it again. It is truly not an ordinary book. It is much more than a self-help book; it is one for changing the way we live!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful read, especially if you are looking for inspiration, February 19, 2006
This review is from: The Lost Choice: A Legend of Personal Discovery (Hardcover)
I bought The Lost Choice because I really enjoyed the author's previous book, The Traveller's Gift. Lost Choice is even more inspirational, while Traveller's Gift provides motivational messages you can put into action.

I read the first 60 pages of this book a couple of weeks ago, then misplaced it. This was quite annoying, because the plot was just getting interesting. But eventually I found it and finished it, and feel quite satisfied for the experience.

Thsi is the kind of book that causes you to question yourself, and what you're doing with your life. if you prefer the unexamined life, stay away!

Andrews is still coming into his own as a writer. He's become a very good story teller, but needs to mature a bit more in the difficult art of writing, characters and viewpoint in particular. Given the overall high quality of his work, I'm sure this will come.

Overall, a good book, well worth reading. I hope Andrews stays with his writing-it shows great promise!
