5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Piece Of History!, February 29, 2000
By
This review is from: Lost Film from the Titanic [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is an excellent video! It contains rare film footage of the Titanic in Belfast, followed by film taken after the disaster, which includes clips of the Carpathia and Capt. Rostron. There is also an interview with survivor Millvina Dean, as well as a super-rare radio interview with 2nd Officer Charles Lightoller. The "icing on the cake" is the footage showing the construction of the Olympic in Belfast.

If you're into Jack and Rose, then this video probably isn't for you...but if you're interested in the real historical Titanic, this is a "must have" for your collection!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good footage - great for Titanic buffs everywhere!, April 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Lost Film from the Titanic [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Lost Film of The Titanic is a video that contains a rare document of the most famous of maritime disasters. It includes footage of Titanic in Belfast during her final fitting out, the ice floes where she went down, Carpathia steaming past (possibly with survivors aboard), and some of the direct aftermath (relief clothing arriving at the pier, the White Star office in New York, some of the crew in New York.)

A real gem appears at the end, when long lost footage of the building of Titanic's sister Olympic is shown - stuff most Titanic fans may have never seen!

Overall, a very good video. Just wish it was longer!
