Drollery to the nth degree, November 22, 2007
This review is from: Lost and Found New York: Oddballs, Heroes, Heartbreakers, Scoundrels, Thugs, Mayors, and Mysteries (Hardcover)
This book is a real find - amusing, informative, and filled with all kinds of little known facts about New York's fabled history. The author somehow puts them all together in a format that - importantly enhanced by his well crafted drawings - bring both wit and humor to what might otherwise be considered as trivial arcania. Stevenson, both a noted New Yorker cartoonist and cover artist, and a prolific author of dozens of children's books, has put together a wonderful collection of interesting New York history.
