Northumberland is my favorite part of England, and I just returned from my fifth visit. It is a special place, so special that a visit there was the band's inspiration for this recording. The band returned to Haltwhistle and debuted the recording there, along with the video, and I'm told the townsfolk were moved to tears.

BTW, Hadrian's Wall is in England, not Scotland. The emperor Hadrian ordered it built to keep the Scots out, in fact.

"In 122 AD, Roman emperor Hadrian decided to draw the limits of the Empire with a wall, fencing the north of England from Carlisle to New Castle. The ancient wall... (is still like an) ...eerie reminder of the far end of the world." If you consider that this is written in the booklet, you can imagine the dreamlike beauty of this record
This album is their first. In 1999 followed Odissey (in my opinion even better). I will not go at lenght, since their music says it all....
