This review is from: Lost Gold & Buried Treasure: A Treasure Hunter's Guide to 250 Fortunes Waiting to Be Found (Hardcover)
Lt Col Randle is best known for his UFO and fiction books, which makes this book a nice diversion. The book is divided into chapters with four to five main lost treasures featured in each. Lt Col Randle writes about the validity of the stories as to whether there is likely to be treasure. The majority of the answers are yes, and the stories themselves are quite fascinating. Lost mines, hidden treasures, pirate and gangster loot are among the chapters covered. Those living on the Gulf Coast have many places to look as many pirates buried small portions of their treasure all over the area. What was small then is worth a decent fortune now.

The end of the book has some lost treasures listed state by state which is convenient for anyone interested in seeking the lost bounties.

A fun read that will start people checking out their local treasure stories. Happy treasure hunting!
