One of the best greaest hits albums ever.,

This review is from: Lost in Love: Best of Slow Jams (Audio CD)
This album proves Ne is one of the best groups in hisory. Every song on the album is tight. The best is Old Friends. The only thing I would do to make te better is add some more unrelased tracks, and the song I'm Coming Home.

Classic New Edition,

This CD is a great add-on for anyone who's a New Edition fan. I don't think anything on this CD makes it a "must-have" but it's New Edition at their best. There were only two things I would've done with this CD. 1st, I would've put the songs featured on "Home Again" on this CD also. After all, this CD is the "Best of Slow Jams" and that last CD had at least 2 of the best slow jams I've ever heard ("One More Day" and "I'm Still In Love With You"). The other thing was that I didn't like the version of "Boys to Men" that they had on this CD. I liked the one that was on their greatest hits CD better. All in all, this CD proves again why New Edition is and will always be one of the original "Fab-5" R&B groups.

I Felt that other slow song's like Delious and Let's be friend's should have been on that album.I've been a fan since they've been out. I notice that there's one albulm missing when I go to the record store and that's the one with the them holding news papers. If there's any one out there know where I could find it reply back.

Should have been called "Slow Jams: Group and Solo" by NE,

I have been and always will be an NE fan. In my Listmania here at Amazon, NE's "Home Again" and "NE Heartbreak" are tied for the #1 spot. So for me to slam this CD was tough on me, but i'll explain why. First of all, this CD did not do NE any justice as far as putting together a greatest love songs collection AS A GROUP. With ALL the CD's that New Edition as a group have put out, their record label could have put out a love songs collection by NE alone...not including all the solo stuff which was featured on the CD. What about the first Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis song written for NE, the classic "Helplessly In Love"?, Or these: "Mr. Telephone Man", "You're Not My Kind Of Girl", "Whispers In Bed", "Is This The End", "Still In Love With You", "I'm Coming Home", "How Do You Like Your Love Served", "Maryann", "Home Again". New Edition is the greatest and most talented r&b group of all time and they certainly have the ballads to stand alone as a group without the help of all the NE solo projects.

New Edition stands the test of time (especially their Love songs). #1 "With You all The Way"...But its missing #2 Song "Helplessly In Love" ...NE definitely one of the BEst.

Athough I appreciate including Bobby Brown hits like "Rock Wit'cha" in there, I sure can't figure out what they were doing in an NE hits collection, in lieu of other NE track greats. They might as well have included "Roni" in there. In any case, it's good, but could've been A LOT better.

This collection of slow jams by the various acts New Edition sprung over the years is truly incredible. The album features classics from New Edition such as "Can You Stand The Rain?", "Boys To Men", and "Lost In Love." As well as hits from Bobby Brown (Girlfriend, Rock Witcha, and Roni), Ralph Tresvant (My personal favorite: "Do What I Gotta Do") and Bell Biv Devoe (When Will I See You Smile Again, etc...) Old Friends, a previously unreleased track, with lead vocals by Tresvant, holds it's own alongside all the other great songs on this cd. I do have one question to ask the guys, where's "I'm Still In Love With You." I love that song, and I can't figure out why in the world they left it off. All in all, a fantastic album.

This cd is a great Slow Jam collection. I think they should have had Mr. Telephone Man, Helplessly In Love and I'm Still In Love With You though which were all huge NE Ballads but this is still a great CD for those of us who love NE slow jams. The unreleased track really shows how vocally strong Ralph Tresvant is and it should have been on the album.
