Not as good as the first two "Steve & Ginny Books",
By Venus10729@aol.com (Pennsylvania, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lost Love, Last Love (Paperback)
This book kept my attention, but only because I have grown to love the characters Steve & Ginny. I did not feel that this book was as good as the first two books about the couple. They spend the whole book fighting and apart. I loved Sweet Savage Love (the first book) because of the turmoil between the couple and how they were constantly fighting one another, yet helplessly drawn to eachother. In Lost Love, Last Love, I was not as interested because the couple spent so much time apart. I also felt that another lacking quality in the book was that in practically every other chapter, either Steve or Ginny was sleeping with someone else. It seemed as if Ginny was so promiscuous in this book, falling into the arms of every man she met. In all I think that if you read the first two books, you should read the final book just to see what happens, however do not expect any Sweet Savage Love!

I was looking forward to more of the sizzling passion between Steve and Ginny, and instead got a dumb breakup and hundreds of pages of them sleeping with far less interesting people. Their reconciliation at the end is completely unsatisfying. Re-read "Sweet Savage Love" instead.

I did not know there were 2 books before this one, so I was completely lost the entire book, but I continued to read hoping to figure it out, which I never did. Hated both Steve & Ginny. I felt like Steve was a total jerk the way he raped Ginny every time they were together. Ginny was a total idiot letting Steve rape her everytime they were together. They fought each other every time they were together. When Steve brought his mistress to the Opera and sat with Ginny, that was too much to bear. I wanted Ginny to smack him upside his head and leave and never look back, but nooooo. The ending was a let down after enduring all the cheating/backstabbing that went on. My suggestion would be, do not attempt to read if you haven't read the other 2 books. (which I won't be doing)

I have wanted original copies of this set of books since I had the first one. When I received this copy, I found it in excellent shape for it's age, even better than the copy of the first book in the series I already owned. I was quite impressed and quite frankly, I was afraid to read it because I didn't want to ruin it. I read these books when back in the 80's and love the fact that I have beautiful original copies for my home library now. The story line is kept up to par with the arrogance and jealously of Steve and Ginny, and their timeless bond of the ultimate love. Of course, the characters are in constant turmoil, and it can be aggravating at times, but it is worth the read if you enjoy the plot.
