Completely Surprising,
By Missy Miller "Melodramatic Bunny" (Lancaster, PA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Lost One (Daughters of the Moon 6) (Hardcover)
I have to admit, when I first heard that book 6 was going to be about ANOTHER girl with powers, I was a little disappointed. I thought Ewing was trying to replace Catty, and there was no way I wanted that to happen. The four daughters of the moon were perfect the way they were, right? Wrong.Tianna wakes up one day realizing that she has no idea who she is. She can't remember her name, who her parents are, or where she's from. She finds a piece of paper in her shoe with her name on it and realizes she must be Tianna. At least everyone at school knows that. Although she has no idea who any of the people at school are. Soon she realizes that she has telekinetic powers, and that two strange guys are after her *who she later finds out are Followers*. Can Tianna avoid these two hooligans, while trying to find out who the mysterious girl in the black void is? Will she ever get her memory back? This book is a must read for Lynne Ewing fans. The Lost One gives a fresh look on an already fresh series^_^ It has quickly become one of my favorites. Much love!

Tianna is outrageous. She's also perfect. There's nothing she can't do and on top of that she's fearless. She has been living in foster homes and on the street. She has a big mystery to solve because she can't remember who she is. Then she finds out that someone is trying to kill her and that she has the power to move things. The ending will surprise you. At first I thought she was going to replace Catty. I wasn't happy with that. Catty is one of my favorites. (I love her time travel.) Tianna has to save Catty, but can she? Instead of saving Catty, it looks like she has made things worse. Read it. If you liked the other books in this series, you will enjoy this one.

Good Book,

I really like this series. It's about four, well after this book five daughters of the moon goddess. In these book Jimena, Serena, Vanessa, Catty, and now Tianna each have a special power to help them battle the Atrox, an ancient evil sent to destroy hope. Vanessa can become invisible, Catty can go back in time, Serena can read minds, Jimena had premonitions or she see's stuff that happens in the future, and Tianna can move tings with her mind. These books are all about their battles with followers (people who have devoted their life to the Atrox) and many other forms of evil. To find out more I highly suggest these books. They are really good!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Lost One (Daughters of the Moon 6) (Hardcover)
This is a great book. I think it was a good idea to add a daughter of the moon and Tianna is perfect for the job.
First, Tianna finds hershelf lost. She doesn't know who she is our anything about hershelf. She goes to La Brea high and meets the daughters of the moon and then she stats to understand what their about. Next, she starts seeing Catty and tells the daughters of the moon. Then Staton is back in the picture(that's ok Staton rocks) and helps them find Catty. In the end Tianna finds a guy like the rest and becomes a daughter of the moon.

If you like mysteries and you want to know what happened to Catty you better read this book. You won't believe what happened and you'll probably get in trouble for reading it when your mother tells you to do something else like I did because YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN!! I love it. I want to be like Tianna.

Yet another excellent book in the series,
This review is from: The Lost One (Daughters of the Moon 6) (Hardcover)
I absolutly loved this book. My friends and I have read all the other books in the series. I was actually worried that Ewing was going to replace Catty in the 6th book, but I've very glad that she added Tianna to the mix instead. I think a fifth Daughter of the Moon will make a nice addition and give the author more to play off of for following storylines. I can't wait for the 7th book to come out, and I hope there are many more following that one. Thanks Ms. Ewing, for a wonderfully exciting teen series!

Who is Tianna?,
By
This review is from: The Lost One (Daughters of the Moon 6) (Hardcover)
The prologue on this book is spooky and got me to spend the money to buy it. It's creepy. The story goes on about Tianna when she is lost in Los Angeles and gets in a home with a very weathly woman who takes in problem kids that have no place to stay because no one wants them. The Daughters of the Moon find Tianna and want to help her but she doesn't think they are good. Maybe she thinks they are even witches, and not the good kind plus she wants Vanessa's boyfriend!!!! I thought Michael liked her, too. It's a good ending with a surprise for Tianna.

this book was truly fantastic. it held my attention very well because of the great discription, and word use. it kept my eyes on the page and my mind in complete suspense. this book truly has ALL of the elements for a great book. Suspense, mystery Romance, and above all adventure in a world where adventure wsn't possible.

Not Lost Anymore,

This is another chronicle in the "Daghters" saga. This has a new character, and a new angle. Enter Tianna Moore. She wakes up, and cannot remember anything. Nothing. While this can be confusing at times, it is a fun twist to learn about Tianna at the same time she is. She looks around the apartment she's staying in, and finds a note in a boot. It is signed Tianna Moore and the note says that Tianna is trying to be killed. Tianna, who doesn't know this is herself at the time, is bewildered and confused. Then, in a narrow chase running from two creeps out to hurt her, she discovers she has telekinesis-the ability to move things with her mind. Then, after this, she notices three girls called Vanessa, Jimena, and Serena watching her closly.... All in all, this is a very good book and is definatly one of the best in the series. I cannot wait for book six, Moon Deamon, to arrive! |
