An adopted "no-brand kid," this is compellingly accessible, and always rivetting autobiography of a man who came of age in the 60s counter-culture, dropped out, and rediscovered his Native heritage, to become a respected Odawa tribal elder. A rollicking ride through the 60s, life underground, Europe, Algeria (with a certain Mr Cleaver), and back again. One of the finest 60s memoirs I've been fortunate enough to read, for sure. And worth every penny.
