5.0 out of 5 stars Hypnotic, trance inducing!
I do not normally write reviews. Well, this CD has such a trance inducing effect. I could never believe a music CD would would bring this great dreamlike feeling on you especially after a hectic and stresful day. Armik, the artist, is a phenomenal composer and player. 2.0 out of 5 stars Redundant melodies, but.....
I use to be a big fan of Armik, but, after the second C.d. all started sound the same. As I listened to his 3rd C.D. at the listening stations, I thought to myself, "this song sounds exactly like a song on either his 1st or 2nd c.d. It's haunting. Don't get me wrong, Armik is a good guitarist, however, I would love to see him perform one day. When?!?!?!? I was at...

I do not normally write reviews. Well, this CD has such a trance inducing effect. I could never believe a music CD would would bring this great dreamlike feeling on you especially after a hectic and stresful day. Armik, the artist, is a phenomenal composer and player. Yes, there are other new flamenco players out there. Some of them really good (Ottmar Liebert, Strunz And Farah, Novamenco etc..). You appreciate Armik's performances more when you hear the other ones. In my opinion none has the feeling and artistry of Armik's compositions. This music is not greek (some reviewer had said that), not armenian, not middle eastern, not even spanish (although with a lot of hispanic influence from flamenco) but it is all of the above plus jazz, flamenco rythms and then some. Mixed and combined together with the virtuosity of Armik! Yes, it is new age music, no border, no nationality, simply heart touching rythms and notes.

We are used now with music CDs having one, two, maximum three good songs and the rest boring. Not with Armik! ALL of the songs are great and over half simply EXCEPTIONAL!

The recording is audiophile quality, better than anything else I have heard short of DVD audio. It would be extremely pleasing to have this CD (or any other Armik's CDs) in DVD audio and/or Super Audio CD format. I hope the author is considering this.

I strongly recommend this author and particularly this CD. It sets a new and unsurpased level on musical artistry and enjoyment. Bravo Armik!

I was at Tower records a few days ago and stopped at a listening station bby an artist Roger Espinoza. I was blown away by his guitar playing. Whew!!His songs are very melodic and he has a very organic feel to his music. Anyway, keep up the guitar playing Armik and maybe you'll do a show here in L.A. Melisssa

This master guitar player is still having difficulty creating brand new melodies. He has been reprocessing his beautiful old melodies in his recent CDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Armik's guitar artistry is magnificent!, September 20, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Lost in Paradise (Audio CD)
Lost In Paradise is sparkling, romantic, highly artistic and passionate. In this recording Armik showcases his undeniable talent in guitar playing and songwriting. His style is inimitable and his touch purely GOLDEN. Every one of his recordings is of the best quality and distinctively unique. His music is very powerful yet very tender and fragile. It finds a nice place in your heart and the impression is ever lasting. It is simply beautiful music!

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring, no more originality, June 13, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Lost in Paradise (Audio CD)
I love Armik's first 3-4 CD's and than he ran out of the new ideas. This CD, like the last 3, has no hook song they all sound the same to me. Great musician, let other composers to help you to write a new, exiting staff. Armik needs more variaty of songs.

I hope Armik reads the reviews that complain about his melodies being repeated in all of his CDs. It is true !! He is still a master guitarist and his melodies are beautiful, but repeated over and over ! I hope he realizes that it can and will affect the sales of his CDs !!

I was somewhat disappoined--we did try to get this record as soon as possible from the States (it is still not availbale in Australia) and basically the CD is a kind of complilation, not exact but very resembling old great hits of the first few records
