This review is from: Lost Realms: Legacy of the Sun Princess [Download] (Software Download)
Lost Realms is a hidden object game with 17 interesting mini-games for you to tackle while you tramp through the South American jungle and hunt for a huge number of hidden artifacts. You can play this entire game free on iWin with ads appearing every ten minutes. In accordance with Amazon's policy, I can't give you the URL.
Our heroine is Alexia, a young woman wracked with nightmares. She sees in her dreams visions of Incan villages devoured by flames, ruins of ancient cities reduced to tumbling gray stones and caverns where water drips and where tropical vines spread and clutch the stones with creeping hands.
Armed only with her visions of lost cities, Alexia and her best friend, Nicole. set out for Cuzco, Peru to try and learn the answers to the vast lost Incan empire and what connection Alexia has with the ancient Incas.
The panoramas you will enter are stunning, atmospheric and creepy and dark and just slightly blurry, giving a dream- like effect but also making locating the hidden objects very difficult. The scenes rock a bit adding to the difficulty. The objects themselves are quite intriguing, such as shrunken heads, knotted devices the ancient Incans used to count, ancient flutes and much more. Some objects are called by their Incan name, but you can translate by mouse-overs.
Alexia is on a quest for the truth and she will discover it among the 30 beautiful environments but unless you are a hidden -object aficionado this game is not for you as many of the items are tiny and very hard to find. The mini-games are hard enough to be fun and are quite varied, from slider puzzles to piecing a map together to answering riddles to assembling a fallen statue.
The cut-scenes that advance the story are rendered in cartoon-like figures which are good enough. I personally do not care for this type of artwork but the drawings carry the story along well. Alexia is on a quest of self-discovery and you will enjoy being a part of her journey into the past and helping her find the answers to her turbulent dreams.
