As an electronics technician and technical writer, Gene DeWeese produced everything from cleaning instructions for ball bearings to space navigation texts for the Apollo program. Since Robert Coulson recruited him to collaborate on a couple of Man from U.N.C.L.E. novels thirty-some years ago, he's also written or cowritten three dozen books--mostly science fiction and fantasy, but also a few mysteries and what is probably the only doll-making book that tells how to make a papier-mch mummy and a dried-apple shrunken head.
His most recent work includes six Star Trek novels, a Dinotopia novel, and two Ravenloft books.

Though I was only mildly happy with the movie I thought I would give these new books a try, the other being The Promised Land. I liked both but I must say I was very impressed with this read. This was one of those rare times I couldnt put a book down! It was like one cliff-hanger after another. In addition to the thrills theres lots of thought-provoking insights into the characters. Whether you love the old show or the new movie, you'll really like this book!
