Book Description

November 9, 2005
Based on the Greek myth of Demeter and Persephone, this story aims to be accessible to children so that they can read it by themselves or for group reading. This story is made easier for the young reader to understand by including lots of illustrations and by concentrating on separate myths. The story shows how the Greeks explained why there are different seasons of the year and how they tried to make sense of what they saw around themselves. For anyone intending to introduce their child to the world of ancient mythology, The Lost Spring is an enjoyable way to get children to learn about these fascinating stories.
