I bought this series of books from Amazon because of the author. Fred Saberhagen is an old hand at creating believable worlds with innovative concepts. This series, based on 12 magical swords created by "the Gods" and their servants, presents a competently depicted story line and some fairly believable characters. I found it to be a very enjoyable excape. I will keep these books in my library and reread them again. Very enjoyable, and characteristic of Mr. Saberhagen's work.

Saberhagen has created a fantasy masterpiece with his "Sword" series. ENDGAME manages to venture into the realm of SCI-FI classic as well. I enjoyed this series more than anything Jordan has done.
