Natalie's review,
This review is from: Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid: How the Great Pyramid was built! (Paperback)
I just finished reading this book Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramids, this book gave me chills, and opened my eye's into looking at a whole new idea on how the Pyramids were built, and it's use, and showed how the old ideas of how it was built and what it was used for is a crock. Everything this guy Steven Myers explained about the Pyramids made so much more sense then anything I've ever heard. And the way he describes everything makes it so easy to follow along and understand exactly what he's talking about in great detail. This book and Mr Myers new and fresh ideas are something the scientific community should really look into. Wonderful reading Mr Myers, keep them coming.Natalie Montgomery, Ill.

Review of the book,Lost technologies of the great Pyramid by Steven Myers. This book slams the intellectual Flatulence of Egyptology to the ground! It shows quite well the Great Pyramid builders moved massive stones with water technology, does it with impeccable logic, critical thinking, evidence and excellent documentation. I've been to the Great Pyramid myself, thanks to Steven Myers now I understand so much more. I will read all his books! I have a small list of books I think all humans should read, this book is now top of the list! Don R. Post

Great Read!,
This review is from: Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid: How the Great Pyramid was built! (Paperback)
As someone who knows little about archeology or engineering I found this book to be a great read! I have always been fascinated by the great pyramids and Mr. Myers explanation makes the most sense from anything I have ever heard. His analysis is detailed but easy to understand and really explains a lot. I appreciated his research and ability to connect not only with the material but the reader. I look forward to his next book and recommend this one to anyone with an interest in the subject!

BEST EVER EXPLANATION OF THE GREAT PYRAMID'S CONSTRUCTION,

This review is from: Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid: How the Great Pyramid was built! (Paperback)
Mr. Myers has done it! I am very pleased to have found his book. My lifelong interest in the Great Pyramid finally has "how it was built" answered. As a builder, designer and engineering professional the standard fare of methods traditionally suggested made my brain hurt to contemplate. They did not compute. Mr. Myer's book makes perfect sense. It works, physically, mechanically and intelligently. The ancients were smart and efficient. They used their brains and did their homework. They accomplished something fantastic. If during one phase from quarry to the building site they floated the stones across the Nile why would they then drag them up hill? People are not that stupid. They knew how easy it could be and kept it that way start to finish. Mr. Myers book is a must read. He explains and demonstrates with well done illustrations how the original builders used water to work for them during the entire construction process and in a very intelligent way.Keep it coming Steven! I am really looking forward to your next book.

My Eyes are Opened!,
By Mark Sampson "Mark Sampson" (Oregon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid: How the Great Pyramid was built! (Paperback)
I have always had reservations about the mainstream ideas that Egyptologists have offered as the explanation of the Great Pyramid. My gut feeling is that a big ramp seems unworkable. I have read many books on the subject of the Great Pyramid but none of them have really explained a plausible method used to construct it.Still searching for answers, I read, Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid. This book is so different than the rest of the books I have read. After a few chapters describing why there is so much controversy about this building, the author presents the most interesting and fascinating explanation as to how the big heavy stones were moved and placed where we see them today! I am no professional Egyptologist or Archeologist but the detailed explanations of the entire assembly process provided in this book just seems right. I have never had that feeling before and I think that I have really stumbled upon a new and important understating about the Great Pyramid. The author's explanation of how the Great Pyramid was built is fantastic but extremely fascinating. The book has ample illustrations to help me visualize the procedures he is describing. I am very satisfied with the book and I am glad I read it.

I Now Know How The Great Pyramid was Built!,

This review is from: Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid: How the Great Pyramid was built! (Paperback)
Most books on a subject like the Great pyramid simply rehash the same old interpretations over and over again. But the title caught my eye, mentioning high technology associated with the Great Pyramid. That seemed like a contradiction but by the time you finish reading Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid you will probably change your mind. I know I did!To me the book was one of the most interesting books I have ever read. I was struck by the author's ideas and explanations being so unusual. This book is truly writing by someone thinking outside the box of conventional thought. Even though this book is revolutionary in its new understandings of an ancient wonder there is just one word I can think of to describe this book and the ideas it explores. That word is: COMPELLING!

This is by far the best theory on how the prymaids were built. The book doesn't cover how the blocks(stones) were cut, but a very good theory on how the stones were moved and set in place.

The author comes up with a theory about how the great pyramid was build that is just as fantastic and unbelievable as all other theories I have read. Though the author did promis to come up with solid proof, I could not find it in his book.Only some circumstantial evidence that is subject to a variety of interpretations. But what I really found a burden was not as much the writing about the pyramid, but the constant criticism on egyptologist and their lack of understanding. The author repeats on almost every page that they are stupid and unable to proof anything. Well, after he said that a couple of times in the first chapters it was very very clear to me how he thinks about egyptologists. By bringing it up again and again he made me wonder wether the book is about the way the pyramid supposedly is build, or that it is more a psychological discharge of his frustration of not being recognized as a genius.

Unfortunately the author suffers from several issues with this book. One being that he does not prove his theory as he promised to do and he severely criticised Egyptologists for exactly this reason. Also I did not find his theory particularly believable, especially as it lacked proof of feasability. The biggest issue with this book it the author constantly repeating statements and observations made by him. This made for an extremely boring read to the point where I was unable to actually complete the book. It appears that the author was attempting to "fill out" the volume of the book, in fact without the constant repeating of statements I expect the book would have been around sixty percent shorter. To me it was a waste of time and money. |
