Had the luck to fall upon this documentary on Discovery Channel some time back and watched again yesterday (December 30, 2002) and this time with my wife.It's a wonderful presentation, to say the least. The vivid picturisation of this golden age of India and the unraveling of the mysteries behind the temples and its' creators stand testimony to the immense research that has gone behind this work. It's an audio/visual encyclopedia for students, researchers and inquisitive minds alike wanting to discover the wonder that was India. It is unfortunate that this video was unavailable at the time of my graduation when my proposed research on "Temples of India" had to be replaced due to lack of references and documentation. |
