well worth the purchase,
By JanBrenda (New Orleans, LA) - See all my reviews 1. Dunces & Dragons (2-Part Episode): A jousting accident sends Spongebob and Patrick back in time where they embark on a quest to restore peace to a kingdom in peril. 2. Selling Out: It's early retirement for Mr. Krabs when he sells The Krusty Krab to a conglomerate that plans to turn it into a big corporate chain. 3. Funny Pants: Because of a nasty trick by Squidward, Spongebob loses the ability to laugh. 4. Mermaidman & Barnacleboy VI--The Motion Picture: Spongebob and Patrick decide to make their own movie starring retired superheroes Mermaidman and Barnacleboy. 5. Enemy-in-Law: Mama Krabs is dating again, and things look serious. Her new boyfriend? Plankton. 6. Patrick SmartPants: During a day of jellyfishing, Patrick gets conked on the head. When he comes to, he's suddenly brilliant.

Don't waste your money,
I love Spongebob, I really do. But this right here is an awful mockery of what the witty well-animated series once was. Although the sponge lives underwater, he has jumped the shark.1. Dunces & Dragons-Although this episode has some action, everything is abrupt. There is no explanation of how Spongebob and Patrick go back in time, and the ending (I won't give it away, but there's not much to give) is also very quick. Nothing really funny happens (at least, in comparison to the rest of the series). 2. Selling Out: Amusing, but the whole thing is pretty rushed. 3. Funny Pants: Once again, really rushed. No biting humor or hilarious jokes to be found. 4. Mermaidman & Barnacleboy VI: Although a wee bit funny, this episode can only pass as "cute." Squidward is especially out of character, acting spoiled and whiny as opposed to grumpy and sarcastic. 5. Enemy-in-Law: What did they do to Mama Krabs's voice? It was funny when she sounded just like Mr. Krabs, but now she actually sounds MOTHERLY?! I suppose they did need to make her more tender in this episode. I'm getting pretty sick of Plankton. He was better when he didn't appear in every other show. 6. Patrick SmartPants: This is probably the best episode (and why I even bothered to give this two stars). Some lines and sight gags are actually funny here, and the "dumb character becomes smart" theme doesn't come off as cliche. No, I'm not a whiny critic, but if you look back on the older episodes of Spongebob (everything before season 4) you'll know what I'm talking about.

Small portions,
You get six episodes for $13.00. It used to be ten per DVD. Then it was eight. Now you pay the same amount for six that you used to pay for ten. Are you ready kids? Soon you will charged $13.00 for four episodes. No thanks Nick.

Absorbing Humor,
By Michael Kerner "Michael Kerner" (Brooklyn, New York U.S.A.) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) Spongbob Squarepants: Lost In Time, is a small but hilarious assortment of the episodes that made Spongebob still show that he still has what it takes for the kids. This DVD contains some great cartoons and a whole lot of laughter too. The episodes here are just jam-packed with fun including Dunces & Dragons, a spoof on A Connecicut Yankee In King Arthur's Court, which Spongebob & Patrick go at each other in a jousting match, and the next minute, they find themselves in medevil times. This was definitely one of the funniest episodes I've ever watched in the shows history. Still, there are also some other great momentos here including Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy VI, where Spongebob's idols get shunned from a movie being made without the real heroes, so Spongebob & crew makeup their own movie of mayhem, and Patrick Smartypants, where a simple accident while jellyfishing causes Patrick to lose his memory and friends while he becomes more intelligent. All in all, these episodes of Spongebob Squarepants are just incredibly funny. I loved watching these shorts on Nickelodeon, and they just definitely delivered. I really hope there are some more new editions to the take soon. Spongebob Sqaurepants: Lost In Time is a great DVD for kids and parents of all ages.
