Predecessor of the Lost City of Z,

Col. Fawcett's son Brian was a railway mechanical engineer by profession, worked for quite a while on the line that went across the Andes to Peru. After he retired he published the diaries of his father Col. Fawcett the explorer -- who is also the subject of the current best-seller. I am presently on the waiting list for the current book and have not yet read it. When I do, I'll be able to compare the two versions of the same story. More later.
