5.0 out of 5 stars Neat item
This little book is so cool. Part of a wonderful series, "Mighty Chronicles." Great illustrations. Wish there were more in the series.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Lost World should have stayed lost
This novel didn't appeal to me as much as the first Jurassic Park.Micheal Crihton should have left Ian Malcolm out of this story because any person who had suffered a life threatening experience like he had to face, would never go back to a similar place to Jurassic Park . This novel didn't appeal to me as much as the first Jurassic Park.Micheal Crihton should have left Ian Malcolm out of this story because any person who had suffered a life threatening experience like he had to face, would never go back to a similar place to Jurassic Park . The first novel had a plot which connected to everything in the story. This Novel was basically go to the Island, run from Dinosaurs, then escape from the Island. In the begining of the book Dinosaurs were being washed up on beaches in Costa Rica. The only reason they were going to go to the island was to see what was driving these creatures into the ocean. It never came out with why the dinosaurs were swimming from the island. There was some good action throughout the book . I was disappointed with this novel and that is why I only gave it 3 Stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting Book; Keeps You Glued To Your Seat, December 17, 2000

The Lost World is even more exciting than Jurrasic Park. It has lots of twists and turns that should make you lose track of time and miss class. The main thing that made the book exciting is that it has missing links to the first book in the sequel.

By A Customer
"This book was so great it took me like 5 months to read it because I loved it so much. If you like dinosaurs and blood you will love this book .Children who have seen the movie, and loved it ...........(to a wacko extent) will love this book. There may be too much Profanity,Violence, and gore for younger children so I wouldnt recommend it for youner children."

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! It totally diminishes the movie!, January 3, 1998
I read This Book about 2 months ago------------ This is the first book I read from Michael Crichton. Though I`m 12, I`m not a book worm! This book was a meticulously thought out and it totally beats down the movie. The book is a page turner and it`s sanguinary, and its also zealotory, trying to find out what happens in a suspenseful part. The movie was pretty "cheesy" and the book was pretty realistic. It was totally different from the movie and I would highly recommend this book. I would say it`s more than "Two thumbs up." Andrenaline is what you`d feel if you put your mind to the book. So I say... GET IT NOW OR YOU`LL MISS OUT ON THE ON COMING BOOKS BY M.C IF YOU DON`T LIKE THIS BOOK! YOU WON`T KNOW WHAT YOU`RE MISSING OUT ON!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good book, August 30, 1997
By A Customer
Very interesting. Although the plot seemed to be simpler than that of the first book, the action and depth of the story and charaters were way beyond the first book. The dinosaurs were redone with even better detail and habitual inclinations than in the first book, most notably the fact a t-rex can now see stationary targets

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! Why did I wait so long to read it? Hmm........., July 6, 1997
By A Customer
I first went to see the movie over the memorial day weekend. I enjoyed the movie so much, that I went out and bought the book the next day. Right from the beginning the book really went into so much more detail and covered every question that a careful observer could muster up. After I finally finished the book (I often had to read paragraphs two and three times to fully understand what certian characters were referring to), the movie script seemed boringly simple. Malcolm and his new friends rush to the second island to rescue his girlfriend. However at the same time, other visitors manage to disturb the poor sleeping T-Rex and his Raptor friends, thus creating a feeding frenzy on the island. The one thing I did enjoy about the movie were the special effects. They were outstanding!
