MY FAVORITE ADVENTURE MOVIE IN THE WHOLE "LOST" WORLD......., October 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Lost World [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie is outstanding, in its attempts to entertain viewers, with masterful special effects and stunning back drops and outstandingly wierd monsters (ape men, giant bees) This is a movie for the whole entire family. It stars Patrick Bergin as Challenger the main character and leader of a crew that goes in search of a lost world, to determine the exsitence of dinousaurs. When they set foot on a forbidden plateu, they enter a world where time has stopped, and nature runs wild. This entertaining movie is better than all of the other "LOST WORLD" movies, and has nothing to do with Spielberg's "LOST WORLD: JP 2" Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel.

Patrick Bergin version 'Lost World' one of the best., May 24, 2006
Most reviews you read about this movie are actually about a different version of 'Lost World'. Usually the reviewers are talking about the pilot for the series 'Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World' that has the blonde with a perm in it.
I really enjoyed Patrick Bergin's 'Lost World'
The confusion is understandable because there were about 5 different versions of Lost World made within a few years of eachother. Even the TV Guide would list the wrong one and broadcast a different 'Lost World' than the one they listed in the guide.

A colorful yet disappointing attempt to capture Doyle's idea, August 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Lost World [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The color and CGI's are excellent in this film. The location shots are great, and the attempt to capture the late 1880's successful. However, the female character is obnoxious and certainly un- becoming in attitude, language and appearance. While this might be the 90's, and women should be able to handle strong lead characters, this woman, who was the financial backer of the expedition, was disgusting. There have been several major cinematic attempts at this story, but this version leaves a lot to be desired.
