Paranormal Romance -Aug. 1st, 2008

4 stars

Lost In You is an ambitious fantasy including dark Faries and humans with Fairie blood who have magical powers. The most powerful among them, is the tortured warrior Conor Bligh.

Conor vows to avenge the death of his beautiful sister and trap the evil Fey that has escaped from a magical and dark reliquary. His journey leads him to the gorgeous and destitute Ellery.

Ellery is in danger of being kicked out of her home, left with little funds and an unenviable position as her father's bastard she has no one to lean on after her father's death. When the dashing if hard- hearted Conor arrives and demands a reliquary that was once in her father's possession she is reluctant to help him. His crazy gibberish about dark, magical Fairies hunting him and wanting her reliquary are met with disbelief. That is until she sees their bloody work first hand and quickly decides to follow Conor. Soon Ellery comes to a guarded trust with Conor and so does their heated attraction.

But Conor is driven to stop the evil that killed his sister at any cost. No matter how much he has come to admire and care for Ellery. For unknown to Ellery, her father broke the seal on the reliquary and only his blood or one of his children can reseal it but this means certain death for Ellery. Will any chance of love between them every flourish?

Dramatic, magical and absorbing. Lost In You paints an impossible love for the two young lovers. Will Conor end up sacrificing himself in order to save Ellery? Or once Ellery discovers the truth will she give herself up to prevent Conor from engaging in a battle that means almost certain? I liked Ellery's courage. As a daughter of a military man she can shoot, ride and pretty much take care of herself. I liked her confidence and was sympathetic that her status as a bastard made her life all the more difficult for a woman on her own. Conor is very heroic once he decides that Ellery is a woman worth saving. He carries a great burden and feels that his sister's death is his fault although there was nothing he could really do. The author also spends some time with Conor family which was fascinating. I hope that she will return to them and cast some of these characters in their own stories. (Morgan's story has already been written in Dangerous as Sin.)

Those who love emotional stories with magic and star-crossed lovers will enjoy this deep romance.
