I lost my Kindle February 5th 2011 on a Spirit flight from Ft. Lauderdale stopped in Myrtle Beach where I got off the plane the flight continued but I can't remember where to, maybe Chicago. The flight had a long delay. My kindle had all 3books in the " The girl with the dragon tattoo " series and a Jack Reacher novel an others. It has already been un-registered, by whoever found it I assume. I love and miss my Kindle, please return it to me.

My wife left her kindle ("abbey's kindle") on southwest flight 1269 on 3/30/11. It's held in a green leather case. Would love to have it back if some kind person both has the kindle and reads this message.

Dear Mr Webster,
Be sure to report the loss to Southwest's lost and found department. I recently lost my kindle on a Southwest flight and it was returned to me several weeks later (in perfect condition) by Amazon. I'm not sure if it was forwarded to Amazon by an individual or by Southwest Airlines. I hope your wife will be as fortunate and her kindle will soon find its way home.
Sincerely, Sue Ellen Jenkins

My kindle was left in the Aukland N.Z. airport. Amazon was told this and was deregistered. I think that Amazon has a duty to track this down as a c/s relations gesture! Lost date 2/3/2011. Lets do the right thing Amazon!

Allison: YES I DID ON SUNDAY!!!!! OMG If you found my Kindle I will be so happy!!! My name's Zachary, please let me know if it's mine! It had a blue jacket and a lot of fantasy/sci-fi on it!

Dan, your plea should be that the finder "do the right thing"! Amazon has sold close to 5,000,000 kindles. It's unrealistic to think that Amazon can track down and return every lost kindle. However, I know from personal experience, that Amazon will attempt to return a kindle if it is sent to them by the finder. Amazon customer service is excellent.

I may have left a Kindle reader on the 12:40 am Metro North train when I left at 1:03 AM in Bronxville, NY Saturday morning, 4/16/11. I have uploaded a PDF document entitled Lost Kindle to the Kindle. The document contains contact information. I would be very grateful to hear from you and arrange return.

Edward Leonard

Added 4/24/11: I didn't leave it on the train. I got home dog-tired, left the Kindle which I had been reading on the train on my desk, got up in the morning, and accidentally closed a book I had been reading on the Kindle and reshelved the book, Kindle included. Couldn't find the Kindle later, turned the house upside-down and concluded wrongly that in my tiredness that I had left it on the train. Just found it yesterday. All's well that ends well. Nice proof that the K. is very compact.
