I think this soundtrack is as good as you can get, all that is missing is Ashton singing "I'll be there for you". The songs are heart felt, feeling sad go cheer up songs. It's a really good buy and I recomend it HIGHLYY!!!
If you're a romantic, see the movie, it's pretty good....

I got this because of "Brighter Than Sunshine" but it also reminded me about "Walking on the Sun" and I loved getting to know "Mad About You" by Hooverphonic. I only skip over two or three songs -- I'm not a fan of the Cure, and "Trouble" gets a little old, but of the 5 cds that I bought at the same time, this one gets the most airtime because it has so many cool songs.
Definitely worth buying.

Great Soundtrack for a surprisingly good movie,

I had to admit that my expectations for A Lot like Love were not very high. The previews did not tell you much about the movie and I thought it was going to be stupid. I was pleasantly surprised when the movie actually turned out to be extremely entertaining and actually have a semi-realistic plot.
When I walked out of the movie theater, my first thought was that I wanted to buy the soundtrack. I really liked the songs in the movie and was very happy that the songs are actually on the soundtrack (there's nothing more annoying then hearing a great song in a movie and it NOT be on the soundtrack). You most likely already know the first 3 tracks on the CD (semi-charmed life, walkin on the sun, and save tonight) because those are 90's classics. The CD has a great mix though with an song from the Cure and a great oldie from Chicago. By far, my favorite song on this album is Brighter than Sunshine by Aqualung, which is featured twice in the movie (during one of the best scenes and at the end). I also really like the Jet song and Breathe by Anna Nalick. Overall, I think this is a really excellent CD because all the songs are good songs and the CD is very listenable. And if you haven't seen the movie yet, I actually recommend it. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised too.
