As a winner of many contests I recommend that you stay away!,

I am a lucky person. I have won dozens of trips around the world, gift cards, movie tickets, concert tickets, books, movies, cds etc etc etc...and was looking to get a few new tips. I am SHOCKED at the lack of information. IE to win a lottery he suggests buying a ticket. (ok the joke is old eh?) and then goes on and on about odds...using up pages..just to find that he lets the machine pick the numbers. The local lottery website gives the same stats....
The information is old. Several contest newsletters have been out of print for over five years. Save your money from this book and get a subscription to one of the excellent contest newsletters such as Bestweekly or Sweepstakes News.

Great Read!,

This book gives excellent tips on both sweepstakes and contests. It gives a good overall look at the world of entering valid sweepstakes and how to spot those which are bogus. The book is an entertaining read and stresses being positive and just having fun ! It also covers some interesting ideas regarding lotteries and game shows. There aren't many books on the subject and this covers the subject very well. It's made my sweeps entering more enjoyable.

I enjoyed Mr. Ledoux's excellent handling on the subject of lottery. His logical, easy-to-read approach makes this book fun to read, for both beginners and hardcore lottery players. It's interesting to read how some simple steps can improve one's chances of winning, be it the National Lotto or your local grocery sweepstakes.

Using just a little common sense, everyone knows all the information printed in this book. It spends many pages on things such as 'If you are trying out for a gameshow, smile. A lot. And practice. A lot'. I did not learn anything from this book.

Good Info, even if not a perfect resource,

This review is from: How to Win Lotteries, Sweepstakes, and Contests in the 21st Century (Paperback)
Although this book is not perfect, you'd have a hard time finding one that is. When the topic of wining sweepstakes, contests and lotteries comes up, it's hard to create a perfect system for winning all the time since they're based on randomizing the winning entry.
That said, the book does offer some useful tips on how to focus on the types of sweepstakes and contests that offer the best odds. The most important thing you will learn from this book is how to focus on sweeps with the best odds and how to give yourself a potential further advantage. Other than that, don't expect this book to give you a secret way of picking numbers for a lottery, or astrological/magical ways of finding the key. The advantages he talks about are strictly based on odds. Better odds = higher chances of winning.

Waste of Money for Me.,
This review is from: How to Win Lotteries, Sweepstakes, and Contests in the 21st Century (Paperback)
I bought this book main for insights of winning lotteries. There was not much info with regrades to lotteries but, I did get a couple of good websites. This book is not that helpful otherwise. Alot of this book you could figure out yourself with very little thought. The only reason for the 2 ranking was for the website that did have some good info.
