AYSO rules say teams must be re-organized every season--including the Stars. With great luck, some of the girls get to stay together. Tameka, Tess, Lacey, Fiona, Geena, Nicole, and Yaz are assigned to the same team. Everyone misses the old Stars, but the new team is hardest on Tameka. Her dad is now the coach and he's so concerned about not favoring his daughter that he goes overboard the other way. "Yo, Tameka!"
Tameka looked up. Lacey was smirking at her. Then a splash of cold water hit Tameka right between the eyes. For a split second Tameka was angry, but then she realized the water felt incredibly refreshing.
"Thank you! Now take that!" Tameka yelled as she tossed the contents of her cup toward Lacey.
Lacey tucked -- and the water hit Sheila and Geena instead.
"You missed me! You missed me!" Lacey sang out.
Sheila was holding a small bottle of carbonated water, which she shook up and aimed at Tameka. The water went everywhere.
All this happened in a few seconds -- about the amount of time it took Mrs. Essex to back out the way.
Mr. Thomas wasn't as fast. He got splattered when Rory shook up her water and aimed it at Kyoto.
"That's enough!" Mr. Thomas hollered.
Tameka began sneaking up on Lacey from behind.
"Tameka! Ann! Thomas!" Mr. Thomas bellowed. "I said, that's enough!"
