5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best songs of REM, September 23, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Lotus 4.30 (Audio CD)
Well, Lotus is definitely a great REM song. It features those typically obscure lyrics, and every time I hear it, the song manages to create a strange, desperate feeling in me. Which does not mean that it's depressing, it's simply very touching. Musically, Lotus is not typical for REM; it's probably the funkiest song they ever recorded. Surfing the gauges, the other track on this cd, is really much fun... I can fully recommend this single.
