This book is the only that covers six exams. That's the reason why is very big...but very good too. 3.0 out of 5 stars No practice databases on CD referenced in book.
I am rather pleased with the chapter contents themselves, and look forward to the included practice exams on the CD. However, I have found it very difficult in successfully completing the chapters effectively because each one (that I have studied so far) that has a Practice section references a "database that is included on the CD-ROM." There are NO databases...

This book is the only that covers six exams. That's the reason why is very big...but very good too. When you study for one of six exams, sometimes you need to search for something of another exam to have a better view of it, this book is the best for it. It not covers all the things you must know to pass all exams, but it explains the most important aspects with a lot of details and practises. It contains a great questions CD too. The only bad thing is that sometimes they are explainig not very important things using 2 or 3 pages but...if you want to know Lotus more than the exam is it a good thing too.

I have been waiting for the release of this book for over a year. It's worth the wait. If you want to pass the R5 exams..purchase this book.

It's the only book I used. Of course you have to have some experience with the R5 client.

This is the only book I used to study and pass (85%) the Lotus Notes 520 exam. This was my second exam and this book is great for the Lotus Notes 520 and 521 exams. I would suggest taking 521 first and then 520. I did not find any errors in the book and I did not use the CD-ROM to help in preparing for either exam. The 520 exam was more difficult than the 521 exam. Exam 520 Part I and Exam 521 Part II did not have any errors that I found. Great book - worth the price.

I went to the 3 day class for this exam, I have 3+ years of Lotus Notes experience and this book was great for preparing me for the Lotus Notes 521 exam. This was my first Lotus Notes exam and I passed! I've taken Novell and Microsoft exams and this book is great for getting ready for this exam. I will use this book in preparation for the 520 and 522 exams. I did not encounter any errors in the Implementing a Domino R5 Infrastructure part of this book (like other books seem to have).

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent study guide, August 31, 2001

I found this book to be a very good supplement to my CLP studies. I failed the 2nd test twice until I got this book and read it's entire section for the exam I was working on. It is very clear and understandable. The practice questions could use a little work, but they were suffcicient in giving a little bit of an idea of what was on the actual test. Overall, I found this book to be of great help to me in furthering my Domino education.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great preparation for CLP, August 16, 2002
By
This review is from: Lotus Notes and Domino R5 All-In-One Exam Guide (All-in-One) (Hardcover)
I'm working with notes since two years, and I've done many courses. 3 Weeks ago I started the CLP test series. The 520 Test I passed with a score of 82%, the 521 with a score of 89% and the 3th one 522 today with 80%. I have learned only with this book and old online tests. I passed all the exams the first time and I'm not good in testwriting, I'm to nervous.
I recomend this book to anyone who would like to become a Certified Lotus Administrator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not only a certification book, December 5, 2001
This review is from: Lotus Notes and Domino R5 All-In-One Exam Guide (All-in-One) (Hardcover)
In less than week, I managed to read 400 pages of the book, and by every line I find a new stuff to learn from. I try to read the book while my Domino server is on, so as I can try what is written in the book, and by far I think it is the best way to use this book. It has things practical to daily work, and exams.

It is a must have book.

5.0 out of 5 stars CD alone worth the price of the book, August 6, 2001
This review is from: Lotus Notes and Domino R5 All-In-One Exam Guide (All-in-One) (Hardcover)
The book seems excellent but what I'm really excited about is the CD training enclosed with the book. Judging past experience I wasn't expecting the training on the CD to be very good. I was completely surprised in this case. Libby Schwarz is excellent in her presentation of material and the CBT video and screen captures are 1st rate. The CD training is worth a lot more than the price of the book. The CD only includes the first session which is about 1hr 40 minutes and it serves as a very good intro. to the admin. client. The rest (14 more) you have to purchase from LearnKey. (See the page in the back of the book as it offers a 15% discount.) There are 5 sessions for each test (520, 521 and 522) 15 total. Only the 1st 5 sessions are available on CD the remaining 10 are video tapes. Each CD based session has a set of interactive challenges that run you through Domino admin. tasks using Domino Admin screens and practice tests. I was hoping all would be in CD format for the challenges and tests but I suspect the video will still be well done.

To conclude the 1st session was impressive enough that I ordered the whole set today. Note too, I'd choose this training over live training it is just that well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars The book helped me with my first test, February 6, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Lotus Notes and Domino R5 All-In-One Exam Guide (All-in-One) (Hardcover)
I was able to pass 521: Maintaining Domino Servers and Users studying exclusively with this book and using some practice test I came across. You will need Notes experience and I recommend finding all the practice test you can, but this book is a steal ... Everything Lotus comes up with on the test is in this book.
