3.0 out of 5 stars More of Spike's calmer songs, March 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Louder & Funnier (Audio CD)
This CD has alot of songs that just sound as if they were from typical artists of the 1940's. "Now Laugh" and " The Great Big Saw came Nearer and Nearer" are both "Spike-ish". There are 21 tracks on this CD all of them are V-Discs. The only songs I have heard before on other CDs are Chloe, Siam, and Barstool Cowboy from Old Barstow. This version of Chloe is the third that Ive heard and must have been a demo recording, the lead singer rushes, some of Spike's bells can't really be heard, and someone coughs during the begining of it (not on purpose either). Siam is picked up a notch and more glugs are put at the end than the version I heard on another Harlequin Spike CD.
