4.0 out of 5 stars Don't Get Blue - Get The Book, January 3, 2003
This review is from: The St. Louis Blues and Other Hits of 1914 (Paperback)
You'll be glad you did. You may be amazed at the quality of some of the material. The evolutionary Aba Daba Honeymoon, witty Al Jolson ditty Sister Susie's Sewing Shirts for Soldiers, and the well-known By The Beautiful Sea are three great reasons to get it. In fact, if you were to just buy those three in sheet music form, you would have already spent more than this entire book costs. While not all of the pieces are as well known as other Dover collections, each of them is worthy of review, and evocative of the era that spawned them. It's worth the effort!
