Alcott wrote fantasy, too!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Louisa May Alcott'S: Fairy Tales Fantasy Stories (Paperback)
This book contains all of Alcott's fantasy stories and fairy tales, including those in her book Flower Fables. Some of the stories are sweet and have happy endings; others have sad endings. A few of them are a touch preachy. I don't know if children today would really enjoy these stories. Little girls might. The language is, of course, rather old-fashioned and the morals blatant. I think the stories would be of more interest to Alcott scholars or collectors who want to read everything she ever wrote. Still, the stories show some imagination and aren't objectionable in any way.
