I was helping teach a grandson Louisiana history and bought this at the local university bookstore. It is a fascinating, concise, thorough, accurate and insightful history of Louisiana. One important concept I learned was the extensive cultural diversity of Louisiana and how it has functioned as a state with so many ethnic, religious and political factions. After you read this book it gives you some idea of how democracy, however messy, can work when it has the proper structure. A really worthwhile book that challenges pre-conceived notions about the state. Louisiana is a unique part of the U.S. that we can all learn valuable lessons from.

I ordered this history textbook for my class and it's condition was labeled as Good, but it looks brand new. The listing said that it would be shipped from Arkansas and only took 2 days to get to Southern Louisiana with Standard shipping. I would recommend this company! Fully satisfied!!!
