Philip Gould, the author, is well known throughout the world as being one of the best photographers. Louisiana a Land Apart is one of his earlier books, so it is no longer in print. I have all of his other books, all of which are written by exceptionally good writers for the subject matter. They're great coffee-table books and if you're a lover of the beautiful scenery,geography and history of Louisiana,as well as the beautiful train stations of France, you'll want to own at least one of his books. I am extremely happy I was able to add this book to my collection by ordering from Amazon. The condition of the book was like new.
