I found it challenging to find a -13 bat for my 7 year old (55 lbs), so the Louisville Zephyr was my best choice in the 28/15 category. She hits very well with it, and it has OK pop, but if your daughter can handle the Demarini Bustos at 29/16, that is another bat to research and to consider. The truth is, composite bats make little difference until they move up to the hard core softballs, so technique is SO much more important than the quality of bat at the 8U and 10U level. I have discovered that my daughter is fairly quick, so the -13 bat was not needed for her, and we will be moving to a more end-loaded aluminum bat now. I have read that the Zephyr has some durability issues, but my DD has used it throughout the spring of Rec ball and finished 24 travel ball games in the summer with no rattles or problems. This bat model has been around for many years, and is a solid choice in the $150-$100 composite range, especially if you need a -13 in the 28/15 size. If your DD is in the 12U type range and can handle a 31/21, and you can shell out $299, go for the Demarini CF5 Insane, otherwise the COMbat Lisa Fernandez Lite (-10 & -12) are great, cheaper and also durable.

This bat is just a little better than an aluminum bat. The ball has no jump off the bat at all.

Size Name: 32 INCH/19 OZ Verified Purchase
It's close to impossible to find a 32in, 19oz Composite softball bat is local sports stores. They would have to be ordered. Tried ordering this bat after finding a similar bat but different size in a sports store. Delivery was fast and packed well. Bat works great and I would definately recomment if you need a light bat with a long extension for a girl with a short reach.
