Big Voice, Big Heart,

Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes is an ex-NFL football player who went on to front a high-energy zydeco band that does an excellent job of blending zydeco, blues, and even a little jazz (their cover of Herbie Mann's "Memphis Underground" is a hoot!) into a mighty tasty gumbo. Sunpie has a big voice and a big heart, both of which are shown off to advantage in this recording. Let the good times roll!
