I am a therapist who works with adults with depression and anxiety. My clients would not have to see me now if their parents had read something so loving to them when they were children. It's a great group reading. I recently had 6 kids of all ages come to visit and we read the book. Each of them asked if we could read it again. I am buying multiple copies and will give one away at each birthday party my daughter goes to. No one is to young or too old for this book.

This is one of my favorite books for children. The script is original, the illustrations are brightly colored and fun. I love this book's ingenious ways of building strong self-esteem and a deeper caring for others. I have sent 12 copies to my grandchildren. They have read it so many times the pages are lovingly dog-eared. I highly recommend this book for its positive message, its beautiful illustrations, and its friendly happy tone!

This book is a great books! My children enjoy the colorful pictures and the clever way the pages rhyme. I've given several copies to my children's teachers to add to their classroom libraries. It may be over done graphically for some children but the message of the book is an important one. It's nice to be reminded of how special each one of us are!

This is a very reassuring book to readers that we all experience different feelings and emotions, and we also experience different perspectives on things happening around us. While we all attain the attributes of being courageous, childlike, accepting, respectful, kind, unique and beautiful, there is always so much more to who we are deep down inside. This is a wonderful illustrative book to show how one person can have many different qualities, while also being able to be proud of those qualities and build on them as we grow.

my daughter is in college now. i bought this book when she was in kindergarten. it was always one of her favorite books. she was an avid reader and an a+ student in school. i have bought additional for gifts and will still by more. it is an absolutely wonderful book.

This is one of the best books for reading to your children. Because kids love animals the author does a great job of relating animals they recognize to critical traits of positive self esteem. The pictures are very colorful and eye-catching which draws attention. The supporting proses provides an opportunity to reinforce a positive message of self-esteem over and over. I find the book to be a favorite as a baby gift. I have received incredible notes of thanks from the parents.

I found this book truly lovable. The message is clear. My child (4 years) loves it. He says he's lovable too :) I found it quite simple to read and very clear. I enjoy reading this to my child just as much as he enjoys listening and taking part.

This is probably one of the most beautifully illustrated book's I have seen so far!! What a wonderful way of using many types of animals to help encourage a child's positive outlook on themselves, so they can experience the most amazing self-esteem ever. My almost 4yr old daughter Loves this Book and we Highly Recommend it!!

We love this little known book. The pictures are bright and so detailed you find something new everytime you open the book. It is a truly positive message for all young children. It is our favorite baby gift for all newborns.

This should be required reading and teaching material for ALL parents and all people who deal with themselves or other people. What a fantastic illustration (literally and figuratively!) of what counts in relationship to self and others! Lovely words, amazing and rich illustrations and a very engaging rhythm and organization to the book make it a charming read for ALL ages. Truly a treasure in my family. I recently ordered several copies to be shipped to young nieces and adult friends! Plus we donated a copy to my daughter's kindergarten classroom! I will be ordering MORE, I know! I am so grateful for Diane Loomans' gift of writing and her understanding of the human condition--and Kim Howard's illustrations are perfection!
