good mix of cool songs, January 23, 2002

What I like about this CD is the mix of cool bands on it. I mean, I think Johnny Cash and the Butthole Surfers are pretty cool. The soundtrack and movie also complement each other well. Its just a good time. I'll list the songs since Amazon doesn't. 1. Flaming Lips-turn it on 2. Meat Puppets-animal 3. Mazzy Star-ghost highway 4. Jesus and Mary Chain-come on 5. Kim Deal and Bob Pollard-love hurts 6. Reverend Horton Heat-the devils chasing me 7. April's Motel Room-black 14 8. FSK with David Lowery from Cracker-unter dem doppeladler 9. Butthole Surfers-who was in my room last night? 10. Johnny Cash-ring of fire 11. Courtney and Western-am i in love 12. Roger Miller-king of the road. Tracks 1,3,6,9, and 12 are worth getting this alone. The movie is "True Romance" meets "Natural Born Killers", just not quite as good, if anyone cares.
