Book Description

From the author of The Opposite of Me and Skipping a Beat, an original eBook short story that shows whom we fall in love with may be the biggest—and happiest—accident of all.

Ilsa Brown wasn’t expecting a little, injured dog to lead her to the love of her life. But within months of their first meeting on a street corner in L.A., she and Grif, the dog’s owner, are engaged. Things between them are so blissful that Ilsa is stunned by the tension that erupts during their visit to Chicago to meet his parents, where she discovers that Grif’s old girlfriend, Elise, is still woven into his family. What Ilsa needs to know before she can walk down the aisle is whether Elise is still in Grif’s heart, too.

Featuring a character from Sarah Pekkanen’s original eBook short story All Is Bright, Love, Accidentally is surprising and heartfelt. It’s a story about taking chances and choosing hope, and discovering what it means to love someone—and to let go of someone you love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love, Accidentally December 28, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Sarah Pekkanen tells tales you feel a part of. Love, Accidentally presents a love story that many have been a party to. Is Ilsa really the girl Grif wants to be with, or is she stepping into a rebound role from a first love that might not be finished. I loved this story. Sarah establishes characters that feel fresh yet familiar. She is a beautiful crafter of words. Wonderful short story Sarah!

Be warned, this is a very short story and the rest is simply ads for more books. A total waste of a dollar. the story is cliche and the characters are weak.

why put out two books (this one) and All is bright -felt I have been ripped off-who wants to read
a few paragrahs from each book that has been written by this author (same short paragraphs in both books)

4.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Short Story for the Holidays December 18, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
The author's previous story ALL IS BRIGHT continues in the new short story LOVE, ACCIDENTALLY. But this story is told from Griffin's new fiance Ilsa's point of view. It begins with Isla and Griffin meeting by chance when his dog is injured. Within months, the couple grow close and are engaged. During a visit home to Chicago, Isla meets Griffin's parents and discover his ex-girlfriend Elise is still close with the family. Now Isla wonders whether she's the rebound girl or whether falling in love was an accident after all.

Women can connect with Ilsa's points of view on love, loss, family and relationships of the past. Sarah Pekkanen has a knack for writing that draws you into the character's lives. I would love for the author to either continue this short story series or write a full novel with these characters.

As a bonus, this eBook includes excerpts from Sarah Pekkanen's other novels. Download for a quick, heartwarming read for the holidays. It will only cost you $.99!

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting. November 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Second short story in the series of three. I found it interesting and I want to read the third one too. Enjoyed the simplicity and choice of words used. Very mature way of dealing with feelings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving Sarah's e-Short Stories! July 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I adore e-short stories! Sarah is a wonderful author (I just discovered with her new book "The Best of Us" (a 5 star), which I read first, so diving into reading her other previous books. (I usually start with new ones which pull me into the author and then start backwards).

Being in the online media world, front covers are a big draw as well as reading works of my favorite authors---especially with e-books, as the crisp colors are so appealing since you do not have the typical print front cover to view. Love Accidently has a feel good front cover and e-stories are very short you can start at midnight, get teased and a "preview" of what is to come, plus they are inexpensive.

The story grabs you from the beginning at the setting of a sidewalk café, Ilsa Brown sees a dog get hit in a car accident, and since she is a vet, runs to the scene and this is where she meets Griff, the dog's owner (of course the meeting lasts and turns into a relationship-having cancelled on the date she was originally meeting).

All is well; however, when traveling to meet his wonderful parents in Chicago, she discovers Grif's old girlfriend (a since kindergarten love-worst kind). She discovers she must learn more about this connection prior to walking down the aisle with her new love. Be sure and read "All is Bright" another e-short story with the girlfriend's perspective, and some of same characters

1.0 out of 5 stars Wasted .99 cents! December 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The characters were weak, the story was worthless, not only that, it never had an ending. All of a sudden you are in the next stupid story. Very frustrating. Guess you have to learn this Amazon game the hard way. Be more careful when you select multiple samples. Don't forget to check the price again before you buy. Many times it is much more than it was when you added it to your sample list. Watch for the number of pages your selection has too!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not much too it. February 3, 2014
By K. D.
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
There really wasn't much to this story. Nothing particularly interesting happens. I've read short stories where a lot happens, and some I even liked, but this one was just okay and was more like when you talk to an old girl friend after a while and she's just catching you up on her love life. Not bad, but I'm glad I didn't pay anything for it.

I already anticipated that this will be as short as All Is Bright (where the story was told in Elise's point of view). Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Banal Preview of a Novel
This was a dull, non-engrossing prelude to a novel. I didn't care enough about the characters to order the book.

More About the Author

Sarah Pekkanen is the internationally-bestselling author of the novels THINGS YOU WON'T SAY, CATCHING AIR, THE BEST OF US, THESE GIRLS, SKIPPING A BEAT and THE OPPOSITE OF ME. Please find her on Facebook and twitter @sarahpekkanen!

BIO: Sarah is the mother of three boys, which explains why she wrote part of her novel at Chuck E. Cheese. Seriously. Sarah penned her first book, Miscellaneous Tales and Poems, at the age of 10. When publishers failed to jump upon this literary masterpiece (hey, all the poems rhymed!) Sarah followed up by sending them a sternly-worded letter on Raggedy Ann stationery. Sarah still has that letter, and carries it to New York every time she has meetings with her publisher, as a reminder that dreams do come true. At least some dreams - Brad Pitt has yet to show up on her doorstep wearing nothing but a toolbelt and asking if she needs anything fixed. So maybe it's only G-rated dreams that come true.
