About the Author

W. Lawson Jones has sustained and remembered seventy years of intense involvement with cars - and still retains the wits to write about them with humor. His writing skill surfaced 55 years ago in high school where a prize essay won him the valedictorian role in a graduating class of 306 students. An engineering degree from The California Institute of Technology and grease up to his armpits from car autopsies have given him a feel for machinery. He lives in Los Altos, California where he still collects cars like beenie babies.

Lawson managed to have a life and love affaire with usual and unusual cars. He attaches a distinct personality to the many cars he owned and writes about them and the adventures each car has provided for him and his friends (male and female!) Reading it makes you remember your own past! It will enthrall all of us who remember their very first car. Lawson had a great adventure and shares it with us. You will enjoy reading it - go for it!
