Someone from NJ asked in a previous review what the song was that the children sang in the movie, Love Affair. I too am a fan of that song and still don't understand why it was left off the soundtrack. In any event, the reviewer was asking for the title so she could dance to it at her wedding. Well, here it is: "I Will", by the Beatles. It's on the White Album. Best wishes!

This CD is excellent but is missing the best song. I see that others have noticed as well. Can someone please let me know if you have found the recording of the children singing "I Will." Where can I find it? Thanks.

My fiance' and I watched this movie on one of our first dates together. Now we are engaged to be married, and every year we set aside a day to just stay home, cook dinner, and cry one more time. We are trying to find out desperately who wrote the song Annette Benning sings to the children that goes "Love you forever, and forever, love you with all my heart...." If anyone knows, please respond because we want this song to be our first dance.

For all of you other fans of the movie who wanted "I Will", the song the children sang here is an alternative. The song is also featured in the movie Bye Bye Love sung by Ben Taylor. There is a sound clip available on Amazon.com. It is a great version also. Not that the Beatles version isn't.

I am going to play this during dinner at my wedding someday!!! The music is so beautiful and will remind you of the movie. After seeing the movie (3 times within 11 days and crying every time!) I HAD to have the soundtrack.

The swing music at the beginning is absolutley charming, the Christmas Song is wonderful (in fact, it made me consider having a Christmas wedding...) and the instrumentals (especially "Piano Solo", "Return", and "Finding Each Other Again") are SO beautiful!!!

I was, however, as everyone was, disappointed that "I Will" wasn't on there. I'm not a Beatles or James Taylor fan, so I really wanted the version sung by the children.... Oh, well, I watch the video enough that I can hear it often! :)

the score is beautiful but I can't believe they left out one of the main songs. "I will" from the Beatles. It is one of my faves and I bought the soundtrack hoping it was on there. Someone tell me why it was left out....PLEASE?

The song that others are refering to (Love you forever and forever) can be found on the White Album by the Beatles. However another very good version of the song is also available on the "Bye Bye Love" soundtrack. The song is titled "I Will". It is sung by Ben Taylor, son of James Taylor.

This stellar soundtrack could have Frank Sinatra, Freddy Mercury and Patsy Cline sharing the mic on a single track and I'd still rate it low for the sheer bone-headedness (Not a word, you say? Give it time.) of leaving off the song 90% of consumers buy the album for. Without "I Will" in the lineup, there's nothing remarkable to hear here. I'd say it's akin to what might have happened if the "Walk the Line" soundtrack had been devoid of Johnny Cash songs and filled with orchestral scores, or simply been released without the song "I Walk the Line."

Now, in the What-Were-They-Thinking catagory, scores have never been higher. Perhaps they'll get it right in a re-release.

What a nice soundtrack full of wonderful songs and beautiful orchestra pieces that compliment this movie just right. I am one of the few reviewers here who purchased the soundtrack not just for the song "I Wish" originally by the Beatles (I have the White Album), but for the beautiful song "For Annette and Warren" what a beautiful song that is, it is nice to listen to a song and be moved by it, especially since it has no words.

I love the other songs on this as well, nothing beats the great Louis Jordan and Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong especially when they sing "Thats Life" what a good song that is. "The Christmas Song" sung by Ray Charles is a very nice touch indeed. All the songs on here are great to listen to over and over again.
