5.0 out of 5 stars This is a summary of the story, June 5, 2000
This review is from: To Love Again (Mass Market Paperback)
Isabella Di San Gregorio had the kind of love that others dream about. She was hopelessly passionately devoted to her husband, Amadeo. Together they had built a fashion empire, the House of San Gregorio, that was second to none. Her brilliant designs, his financial acumen, together with their fierce love for each other and their work, made them an unbeatable combination. But the dream is suddenly over when Amadeo is murdered by his kidnappers. Isabella fearful for her young son's safety flees to America to her college roommate, Natasha, in New York. There, secluded in Natasha's Park Avenue apartment, she tries to keep the empire that she and Amadeo built alive - as a lasting tribute to the love they once shared - despite ongoing pressure from an American conglomerate to sell. Just when Isabella despairs that she must live out her days in hiding, she finds herself drawn to Natasha's kind, millionaire friend, Corbett Ewing. She has finally convinced herself to reach out once more for love... until she begins to suspect that Corbett's intentions may not be what they seem and that he may destroy all she has left of her beloved Amadeo.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed this Danielle Steel, March 27, 2002
By
Deanna Hockey (Sydney, Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: To Love Again (Mass Market Paperback)
I have been reading Danielle Steel's books for over 15 years now. Sometimes they do get a bit "all the same" with most of the characters being important, successful, beautiful people who live in "stately homes" and wear "important jewels and furs". Sometimes I think the characters are more about what they have then who they are. Despite this, I always enjoy her books - they are easy to read, romantic and make you forget about everyday life for a couple of hours while engrossed in the book. Personally I think her earlier books are more enjoyable and get more involved in the characters than some of the later books she has written.
This story is involved around the fashion industry which I found really interesting. I didn't think it was as bad as some other reviewers thought (have they read "The Klone and I" I wonder - that's her worst book by far). If you are a Danielle Steel fan you will enjoy this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this story..., April 25, 2002
This review is from: To Love Again (Mass Market Paperback)
This is such a sad story...but it's so real. You feel like you are going through what she is. Even though it's a world not many know or have experienced. This story puts you in someones shoes that are most likely so different than your own...you get lost. This is "classic" ds, and if you don't care for that type of writing, romance, tragedy, from the 80's or early 90's, you might not like this...however, in my opinion, these were some of the best books ever written. They are fun, you care about what is going on & you are hooked on them until you finish.
