Jessica Shepherd's online astrology newsletter, "Moonkissd," is a delight, and her wise counsel is now turned to the one subject everyone cares about: love, and the search for the right person. What I particularly enjoy about her work is her kindness and honesty -- you know she's been there, as she reflects thoughtfully but in a most entertaining way on her own history. She knows herself, and she actually gives you the tools to care for yourself first. It doesn't stop with an airy "love yourself and all good things will follow!" Oh, not so fast -- nothing happens if you just recite a formula-- but if you are willing to listen, be playful and learn to value your spirit and accept the body you have, but also to enhance your charm (a word so little understood, and yet so powerful), _A Love Alchemist's Notebook_ will help guide you to true self-love. And confidence is one of the key elements in this alchemy. Shepherd is like a very warm, nurturing friend in her advice, and she is also quite astute:her "Venus in Aquarius" analysis is me to the life. I particularly appreciated the section on "Bad Karmic Patterns" and her discussion of the "Shadow" -- both are excellent. I recommend this book without hesitation -- I gave it to myself as an early birthday present, and it was all I'd hoped it would be.

On a sleepless night, I happened to come across Jessica's blog ([...]). I instantly liked what I had read. There is something truly sincere and very real about her writing that clicked with me, so I decided that I had to buy her book : A Love Alchemist's Notebook. To be honest I didn't think that the book was going to be as spiritual and simply amazing as it truly is. I basically thought it was going to be a fun read with a little magic. Well, it's that and A LOT more. I've been going through therapy since the age of twelve (I'm twenty-nine now) and I've also read my fair share of self help books, and not to come off overly dramatic, but this book kicks my heart's depressed ass with cosmic loving arms! It's very insightful, creative, therapeutic, and best of all--it sticks. The exercises are fun, fairly easy, and exceptionally helpful. This book has taught me to fully understand that the greatest love a person can have is: self-love. As of yet, I may have not found my soul mate, but with the guidance that Jessica provides in her book, I know they're just around the corner waiting for me.

Gentlemen, take note of the exquisitely sassy colors and cover of this book and the charming words that follow inside! You probably want a woman like Jessica in your life! Sorry, she's taken. But you can learn from her experience.

This is a light hearted book on the very "serious" subject of attracting love, written by an intelligent and fun woman, to and for the benefit of other women. But its really for all of us. And it contains Jessica's unique and precious distillations of wisdom from the ages, all written in beautifully simple and inspiring terms. Throughout, she teaches you how to honor your own unique inventiveness.

I know Jessica as a friend within the world of astrology. The wisdom Jessica offers is a feminine wisdom, "lunar" and "venusian" and "neptunian" and it is powerful and alive. The world needs more feminine wisdom these days! Her words challenged me to be more honest with myself about what I want in my life and I'm already grateful, two short weeks later! I highly recommend this book.

Jessica Shephard is an exceptional author. For years, I have followed her Moonkisd emails and website and it is not only fun but extremely accurate. She is a creative breath of fresh air in the field. I was so excited to get her book and I was not dissappointed. The book is great for people in a relationship, searching for love, or just simply curious about the possibilities. The book layout and size is really fantastic and the content easily readable. Her style is authentic and very understandable and applicable for anyone. I intend to share this book with friends and clients. The spells are a cool added treat.

Jessica does an excellent job of balancing common sense with using powerful techniques for attracting what one's heart really desires.
The world isn't just a mental/physical place of ideas and things, it is spiritual and soulful. Some 'cosmic cookbooks' tell you how to magically create a reality you may not be ready for. Other 'self help' authors may show you how to be ready for that special relationship but not give you the direction on how to manifest it. I was delighted to see A Love Alchemist's Notebook offered both! Seriously, what a relief to read something honest and practical. Anyone can write to make you feel good for a moment. This book is about lasting fulfillment in love.

I am a practitioner of ceremonial magick and have read a lot of books on the subject. I am also single and have been given, more like force fed, dating and relationship books. This book combines both in a fun, savvy, and intelligent way. If you are already a practitioner of magick you will recognize the "spells" or "will workings" for what they are and easily make them your own. I had given up hope for love and felt it was something for other people. After reading this I have renewed hope and inspiration again. I bought mine in Kindle format and love it.
