Whew,
I came away from the first playing crying sweet tears. The family sounds like they did so many years ago. Walter's ad lib quality is truly inspired by God.

The Lord has truly touched the Hawkins family in a mighty way. Whenever I am feeling down I put this CD on, or play it on my computer, and I rejoice. THANK YOU for making this CD.

This CD will inspire many and strengthen many more who struggle with life's problems. THERE IS HOPE!

Bishop Walter Hawkins and the Love Center Choir have done it again! That's right, after 8 years away from the recording scene, they make a triumphant return with LOVE ALIVE,V. This album celebrates the 25th anniversary of Walter's church choir, The Love Center Choir. This 2 CD album will have you praising, grooving, and shouting to The Lord. A sure-fire hit from this masterpiece is 'Marvelous.' The song features Walter, his brother Edwin, and a choir member, Patrick Sturgis. Another classic in the making is 'More,' featuring Walter and his beautiful sister, Lynette Hawkins-Stephens, who needs to make a another album, really soon! To commemorate this landmark, Walter called on the assistance of some his protege's. He was joined by cousin, Yvette Flunder for the rousing numbers, 'Thank You,' 'Special Gift,' and 'Cry On,' written by Antoin Timmons. Lynette Hawkins-Stephens brought a familiar feeling to me when she sang her classic, 'God Is Standing By.' Shirley Miller, with her wonderful voice, tells us at all cost, 'I Must Go On,' another beautiful song. And, Grammy-Winning songstress, Tramaine Hawkins brought the house down! Walter wrote a beautiful new song for her, 'It's Right And Good,' proving that the same anointing and work of the Holy Spirit still exists on their partnership in Gospel Music. Tramaine also returned to do a revised, up-beat version of her earlier classic, 'He Brought Me.' Walter & The Love Center Choir are still as great as they were 25 years ago. They deserve a Grammy, Dove, Stellar, and any other Music Award! This great album is very nostalgic of the same anointing, blessing, and artistry that have made Walter, Tramaine, Lynette, Edwin, and the entire Hawkins Family and L.C.Choir world-renowned legends! This album literally took me back 25 years ago when some of these compositions first dropped. I was a little girl living in Alabama when the "Love alive" album broke out. I loved it then and I love this reuion one as well. Walter has'nt missed a beat in 25 years. His vocals sound as strong and as beautiful as they did a grip a years ago. The new songs on the album inspire and show that walter's creativity has'nt slowed down. I thank God that after 25 years someone can still lift praises to the Most High and share their praise with others.

After 25 years, Bishop Walter Hawkins proves that the fire of the Holy Spirit is still alive and well in him and in the Love Center Choir. This first of this 2 CD set introduces new tunes by the Love Center Choir which are sure to join the long list of standards and favorites from years and years gone by. In addition, the second disc reuinites members from the original Love Center Choir for joyous covers of some of their best-loved songs. With the exception of some sound problems and a bit of confusion with the song titles as listed in the liner notes, this is an excellent production, well worth adding to any Walter Hawkins collection.

ALTHOUGH THIS REVIEW COMES ALMOST TWO YEARS SINCE IT'S RELEASE.. I MUST TELL HOW MUCH IT STILL BLESSES MY VERY SOUL.. I AM GRATEFUL TO THE LORD FOR THE GIFT AND MINISTRY OF MUSIC..I'M ALSO GRATEFUL TO PASTOR HAWKINS AND THE ENTIRE LOVE ALIVE PROJECT FOR HEEDING TO AND OBEYING THE VOICE OF GOD AND PRODUCING SUCH A WONDERFULLY ANOINTED PROJECT...HAWKINS, ONCE AGAIN MANAGES TO GIVE LISTENERS AN AWSOME CHOIR SOUND, AND A MIXTURE OF GOSPEL BEATS WITHOUT WATERING DOWN THE WORD OF GOD!..AND TO ADD FUEL TO MY HOLY GHOST FIRE..THE 2 CD CONTAINS MANY OF OUR ALL TIME HAWKINS FAVORITES AND FAMILIAR VOICES-TREMIANE, EDWIN,LYNETTE ETC..THAT SEEM TO GET BETTER WITH TIME..WHO CAN ASK FOR ANYTHING ELSE.! I have been listening to Bishop Walter Hawkins' music for years; it is always such a blessing to listen to his music. He writes such beautiful music to the glory of the Lord! The Hawkins' latest CD, Love Alive V; 25th Anniversary is a must have! One of my favorites on the CD is "Marvelous." However, every song on this CD is a hit in my book; purchase your copy and you will be blessed!

I looove this album! My favorite songs are:1. Just in the Nick of Time, Cry on, Marvelous, For my good, Jesus Made a Way, and last but not least, My Gratitude. I listen to:Just in the Nick of Time almost everyday! I even have it on my voicemail at my college (Anderson University). It is a wonderful blessing to have it playing in my dorm and my home. I feel the anointing of the Holy Ghost on the songs of praise and worship on this album. You can feel the presence of God himself as you listen and to this. If you don't have it, get it because God has truly put his approval on it and anointed it(music) mightily!

Walter Hawkins, one of the most talented Gospel writers there is today, because of his music my younger brother turned his life around, because of the song "Marvelous". In our local youth choir we sing songs from Walter's tapes and each time we sing, people tell us after that was a beautiful song with a powerful message. It is true what Edna says in CD II on the Love Alive IV, "Who else but Walter Hawkins could right lyrics like these".

I know the others were great and God-inspired, BUT this one was written by God and faxed to Walter Hawkins! At some point, Walter had a mountain-top experience and came back with these stone tablets with the lyrics and music to "Marvelous" and "Right and Good" written on them!

I have a substantial gospel collection and this one ranks with the very best of them. As a choir director, I'm trying not to use EVERY song on the CD. I've already done three...

Blessed of GOD, The Hawkins' Family does it once again!!! No matter what they do -- IN THE NAME OF JESUS (a testimonial example for us all to follow!) -- SUCCESS is the result. For me, to hear the vocal talents of Tramaine, crooning so beautifully and strong, along with the musical artistry & writing ability of Walter is enough to make the [blood] inside of me just bubble up! As Tramaine expresses the TRUTH in the song titled "It's Right and Good", she allowes herself to be used by The SPIRIT OF GOD to send forth just that -- The TRUTH!!! Never a disappointing moment throughout. The harmony is awesomely annointed -- no one hogging the whole show -- everyone bringing their portion of the HOLY SPIRIT within together causing a serious HOLY GHOST PARTY; thus sending forth the WORD OF GOD through song!!! This two-CD set YET goes forth to reveal that whether together or solo, ALL of the members of this talented Hawkins Family (including those invited to join in this Reunion) CAN JUST SANG!!! LOVE ALIVE Lives On!!!
