Love is Alive!,
By Phyllis Robinson (Chicago, Illinois - USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Love is Alive (Paperback)
Love has many faces. That is what poet and author Ann H. Brown proclaims in her lovely new book of poems and inspirational stories entitled "Love Is Alive". As she states in the title poem, Love is all around us--- it is a gift from God. It is in nature and ultimately in each of us. In nature, we see love in the season, the flowers, and the trees. We feel love from our family members and our friends. We show love and respect for our parents and we love our children and they love us. Our pets love us with an unconditonal love that can melt the hardest heart. Even rooftops have a love story to tell, according to Ms. Brown. There is an intimate, true and special love that we save for that very significant person who holds your heart. The homeless, the lonely, and yes even you and I are reminded in a poetic way that God loves us all. Ms. Brown, a poet, a story teller, and a composer has a lyrical way of presenting beautiful imagery that is both uplifting and profound. She does this with both skill and compassion. You immediately feel Ms. Brown's love and enthusiasm while reading and enjoying her poems, stories and songs. I recommend this book to everyone who particularly enjoys poetry, stories and songs with that eternal theme that proclaims that "Love is Alive."
