Book Description

In a world where angels rule over humans, twelve outcasts dare to defy expectation, warring with their angel brethren to prevent the extinction of humankind.

They are The Fallen...

Michael is one of twelve angels who have been outcast due to their determination to protect humans. In order to preserve his immortality and strength, he must find a mate with angel blood. Eva Smyth has never believed the propaganda spouted by the Consortium—the elite system of guards put into place once angels took over reign of Earth—but she never expected to learn the angels plan to eradicate all of humankind, or that she herself is part angel.

Joining Michael means living a life on the run, at war against the angels and hunted by the Consortium. Eva must decide whether to risk it all...for love of an angel.

For Love of an Angel is a 35,000 word novella.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Great dialogue, perfect amount of time dedicated to details, and great teaser introductions to the other angels. I loved the world she built and can't wait to read all of the stories in the series!"

--BittenByParanormalRomance.com

"Author Rosalie Lario has masterfully built a world unlike any I've ever seen in FOR LOVE OF AN ANGEL. The first book in THE FALLEN WARRIORS series is filled with passion, excitment, danger and most importantly, love. I was entranced by FOR LOVE OF AN ANGEL from the very first page."

--Romance Junkies Reviews

"The love between Eva and Michael will be tempting enough even for Paranormal Romance fans, while the heat these two generate together will please readers who prefer steamier stories. For Love of An Angel makes for a very well done, compelling, and interesting read."

--Examiner.com

"Whoever thought that men with wings on their back couldn't be considered sexy, needs to read this story. Because, seriously, Michael could best be described with one word: "yuuuuummmmy"."

- Kick Back & Review

"Wow, is it hot in here or is it just me? This book has so much sexual tension in it you could probably build a mile wide bridge."

About the Author

Rosalie Lario double majored in Anthropology and Classics as an undergraduate student. She briefly considered becoming an archaeologist before realizing they don't actually live the life of Indiana Jones. So what was a classical geek armed with a lot of useless knowledge to do? Become a lawyer, of course!

After attending law school in Florida, she practiced real estate law for several years before finally admitting to herself that negotiating contracts wasn't nearly as fun as dreaming up stories. As an avid reader of romances, she knew that was what she wanted to write. She never imagined all the mythology she'd learned throughout her undergraduate education might actually come in handy, but it makes perfect fodder for the paranormal romance stories she now dreams up.

When not writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son in their home state of Florida, as well as searching out things that go bump in the night. She still hasn't found any proof of the supernatural, but she's keeping her fingers crossed. If that ever does happen, it remains to be seen whether she'll jump around in excitement, or run screaming in terror (but she's betting on the latter)!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hallelujah! Peace on earth...finally! May 19, 2011
By W. Rhys
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
At least that's what the humans thought.

The veil between the human world and the angel world has fallen, leaving angels stuck living on earth amongst humans. Since that time angels have become revered as gods, humans worship them. Angels rule over everything. From what job humans get, where they live, what time they stay out until and what they say. Angels control it all and the world is at peace....

Or so everyone thought. Turns out all the angels have a different plan, a plan to exterminate all humans--all angels except twelve. These twelve angels are The Fallen.

The fallen are against the extinction of humankind and have decided to go against the grain. They will do battle against their brethren to change the fate of humans. Unfortunately, the odds of success are stacked against them, their outnumbered, their strength is dwindling and they're losing their immortality. The only fighting chance they have at winning this war is to restore their strength and immortality by finding their mates. Which is easier said than done when your only potential mate is one that carries angel blood and the only other angels around want to roast you--literally.

Okay, so, I'm not big into Paranormal Romances that feature angels. Maybe it's the wings or something, but angels have always sort of been a no-no for me to read about. To me, thinking an angel is sexy is tantamount to thinking pigeons are adorable. It ain't happening....

At least it wasn't until I read For Love of an Angel. Ho-ly cow! I was wrong about angels not being sexy. Michael is an amazing character and embodies what most women want in a man--including the wings. He's caring, compassionate, fun and serious when need be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who said angels can't be sexy? July 11, 2011
By Laura
Format:Kindle Edition
In a previous review, I stated that the paranormal genre is my favorite genre. Despite that, I haven't read many novels that feature angels as the paranormal aspect in the book so I really wasn't sure what to expect with this one. Let me begin by saying this: quite simply - I adored this book! I'm so happy that it is a series because I cannot wait for the next one.

When angels took over the world a lot of things changed drastically and even though the angels are rarely actually seen, the world worships them. Now they answer to the Consortium and there are rules in place that never existed before. Eva was only thirteen when the veil fell, but she remembers life before the angels and wonders if everything is truly as it seems. Sometimes Eva feels like she was meant for something more. Or at least wishes she had the opportunity.

Then she meets Michael. Michael shows her that, indeed, things really aren't as they seem and tells her things that could mean a death sentence if she believes him.

Whoever thought that men with wings on their back couldn't be considered sexy, needs to read this story. Because, seriously, Michael could best be described with one word: "yuuuuummmmy". Yep, I think that pretty much covers it all. "Wow" might actually work too. Or maybe "drool". And I loved Eva. She is a sassy, spirited little thing and her internal thoughts are so realistic and hilarious.

The book is very well written and the pace is realistic. One thing that drives me crazy with novellas and shorts sometimes is when the pace goes at warp speed and nothing seems like it could realistically happen at that pace. Ms.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a good read August 10, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I don't know what I was expecting. I downloaded it because it sounded interesting. Usually most of my downloads lately are not that interesting. I was told about this book forever ago. So I downloaded just to see. And I couldn't put it down. I love the premise. Great job!!! I only wish it was longer.

1.0 out of 5 stars A complete waste of time December 12, 2011
By Pablo
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I usually don't leave any reviews unless something is extremely good or extremely bad. In this case is the later.
I finished reading Angelfall from Susan Ee on my kindle, Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, Book 1), I got so hocked up with the book and the history around Angels that I wanted to read more. Unfortunately she is still writing the sequel, so I decided to fish for another Angel book and I basically checked reviews and ratings for this book and everything was good so far. 4.5 starts and excellent reviews.
What a disappointment, this book is not bad is really bad.
It's a completely and utterly waste of time.
The author expends more time describing the naked torso of the Angel and how the two main characters sexually interact than building a credible story.
From the vacuum the Angel Michael just happens to show up on Eva's window, no reason apart from the scent of her. lol. that's basically how the book starts. Even the names of the characters are corny. Eva! Michael! (probably the most famous angel and probably the only angel name the author knows).
Anyway, I rather not carry on, my advice, if you are looking a for a decent read, avoid this book.

Not a fan. The main character was self indulgent and the storyline was lacking substance. It was not a 'believable' read.
