Simply AMAZING!, March 7, 2001
This review is from: Love Appears (Audio CD)
Ayumi Hamasaki is my number one favorite Japanese singer. She just reigns supreme.. and it really shows in this CD, Loveppears. This CD is the 2nd album that she has released.
This CD is my favorite out of all 3 that she has released. The other two being 'A Song For XX' (1st album) and 'Duty' (3rd album). Now the songs that she includes in this album have songs ranging from slow ballads to songs with upbeat dance tracks. Ayumi has written all her songs and they are just so amazing.
My favorite songs on the CD are To Be, Who.., Trauma, Immature, Boys & Girls, endroll, Love refrain, and appears. As you can see that's practically the whole album ^^; All her songs are amazing and it's one of the first CDs that I have so many songs that I like on just one album.
Her second CD is a treat! It includes music and multimedia you can access through the computer. Some are audio clips from her past songs, some movie clips and many other extras. FUN FUN FUN! Anyway, the songs are all remixes and specials. I really enjoy the remixes because they include like 10 or more songs in each one and little parts of it and it works so well together! The remixes are like 9 or 10 minutes long too!
Anyway, if you're just getting into Japanese music (JPOP) or haven't heard any Ayumi songs, this is a DEFINATE MUST HAVE!

She's EVERYWHERE in Japan, July 16, 2000
This review is from: Love Appears (Audio CD)
Just try and go anywhere in Japan these days and NOT hear Ayumi Hamasaki's new CD...impossible task! The 2000s version of Utada Hikaru (99), this new singer has captured the essence of youth in Japan today....wanting to be different, wanting to escape from a future life as a salaryman or shofu (wife of salaryman) and yet longing for some of the traditional elements that make life in Japan special. Disc 1 on this album consists of 16 songs that range from ballad to techno. Disc 2 has dance mixes of some of the more popular songs including one from her last album. Plus, while you are listening to ALL this you can play the Disc 2 on your computer featuring clips of her advertising everything from makeup to soft drinks, and then you can learn how to pronounce some Japanese words with the proper Shibuya insolence! A fun compilation! The only reason I did not give this CD a 5-star rating is because after listening to the WHOLE album in one sitting I was Ayumi'd-out and longing for a song not sung in a minor key! I would recommend this album to anyone who also enjoys ELT or Brilliant Green or Utada Hikaru.

Awsome CD, November 26, 2003
This review is from: Love Appears (Audio CD)
This is an awesome CD. The mixes on the second disc and the music on the first disc just make this the perfect album. You can't miss the music videos, ads, and ads that have her music. I do think Amazon.com is overcharging for this item. I would recommend buying from Amazon.co.jp if you would like a new CD. After you pay for shipping and everything it's still $20 or so cheaper than if you had bought off of amazon.com for the same CD.
eBay is also a good option if you're looking for a deal.
Everybody enjoy this CD!
