My daughter received this doll for her 4th birthday party. Everytime we visited the toy store we had to pry the doll out of her hands so you can imagine how happy she was to receive this doll. The doll is cute and I do love the functions however the head on this doll is made out of this squishy/rubbery material. After playing with the doll 3 OR 4 times the doll appeared very dirty and you CAN NOT clean this material. To top it off my daughter was fascinated by the squishy/rubbery head and was constantly pulling at facial features, she pulled on the nose and it came right off!! There is no way to fix this. Please Please do not waste money on this doll. Stick with the baby born, we've enjoyed that doll for over two years. It alot more durable!

Like many of the other reviewers my daughter just HAD to have this doll (even though we already have Baby Annabelle). Within 3 or 4 times of playing with her, yes she became dirty, but more surprisingly her eye lids began to crack and actually flake off in chunks! A doll of this expense should be more cost effective than 10 bucks per play session! I eventually simply put her away out of fear of an accident waiting to happen. Did Zapf Creations do ANY marketing or trials with REAL kids? I bet not...

I read the reviews AFTER we had already bought this doll for our daughter's 3rd birthday. I was concerned about this doll not working as described or it falling apart and her birthday present becoming a disater instead of a joy.

Was I wrong. My daughter receieved many birthday presents, but this is the ONLY one she has played with for 3 straight days. She continually wants to play with her, feed her, hold her, and get her to sleep. We have had not problems with her eyelashes/lids coming off. The baby's noises are very quiet and do not bother me at all. They are perfect and my daughter responds to baby Annika (as she named her) immediately. When the baby cries she asks me "What do I do Mommy?". That makes me laugh as that is how I was as a new mom with a newborn!

So far the baby functions just as described in the directions. Chou Chou cycles through all the functions just fine and even shuts off automatically (to save batteries) if you don't play with her for a certain amount of time (30 - 60 seconds?).

We did purchase this baby from Germany when we were visiting my in-laws, so maybe the quality of dolls over there is different than the ones in the US.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. The face is a lint magnet. The dog walks by and the doll needs a bath. It is not interactive. It just goes through a babble, crying, staring cycle. The doll never sleeps (closes eyes) as its supposed to. The only thing positive is daughter potty trained to get this doll. Fortunatley, I can take it back for a better doll and daughter will still be potty trained. Keep your money and stay away from this doll.

This toy is wonderful.Santa brought it to me on Christmas.It makes me feel like a real mommy I got a Baby Born doll carrier. And sata also brought me a suit case with weels and a 3 peice traveling set what iam tring to say is if you have trouble finding a doll - get this one. When it is on it sounds like it is crying all the time but I love this toy and hopefully you will love it too.

I CALL THREATENING TO RETURN , NOT EVEN OPENING THE PACKAGE. BUT I DID OPEN. ONE REVIEW SAID SHE WAS UGLY, NOT SO,SOMEONE SAID SHE DIDN`T DO THE THINGS THEY SAID. NOT SO.AM I KEEPING THE DOLL,OH! YES! I THOUGHT I HAD WASTED MY MONEY, OH, NO THIS DOLL IS WORTH THE MONEY!! THE LINT PART WELL THAT IS TRUE BECAUSE OF THE LIFE LIKE FEEL TO HER FACE. BUT THAT MAKES ME LOVE HER EVEN THE MORE. I LEARNED THE TRICK IS NOT TO USE CHEAP BATTERIES. I NOW HAVE A DAUGHTER TO GO ALONG WITH THOSE 4 BOYS!!! SO BUY FOR YOURSELF AND YE SHALL SEE!!!!!! LOLITA

To my opinion chou chou is a great doll. But this one looks like it came out of space im 12 and still play with dolls but this one I think is not good. On the computer its cute but when it gets home its how should i put this........U.G.L.Y. We ordered it from the computer at my grandmas and we returned it the next day. I would choose a diferent doll from chou chou.

The thigs the made it ugly
1) it look like it had surgery on the top of its haed if you take the hat off.
2)its face is not cute it looks like it had a fight
3)lint gets stuck on its face so easy you can clean your house with its face.
theres alot more resons just look for your self
just not worth your money unless its at the dollar store

The good thing its educational it will prepare a kid for takeing care of a baby. But other dolls will to the same with better looks.

I bought this doll for as a xmas gift for my daughter, it's performnce compared to baby annabelle and rock a bye chou chou was negative -1, we tried several ways to get her to kick her legs (no luck), you can barely hear her cries, so she was returned the next day. We decided to just keep the other two, since they perform sooooo much better. I think the doll is overpriced.

My daughter has the first Chou Chou, and she loves it. She is 8 now and still sleeps with her doll. When she saw Love Me Chou Chou she told me she had to have it. She loves this doll and if I was unable to get this new Chou Chou for Christmas, I know she would be devastated. I was able to purchase her one for Christmas and I know she will love this one just as much as she does the other. For those who do not have this doll, IT IS A MUST HAVE.

I am a 35 year old woman whose biological clock has exploded, however, my boyfriend and I are taking are time getting to know each other before walking down the aisle and eventually having children. I have compensated for my longing to have children with baby dolls. As for "Love Me Chou Chou," while I am very impressed by the interactive functions and realistic responses, I was a bit disappointed with the look of the doll. The African American girl doll looks much cuter as a boy, so I named it Jeremiah and put blue boy clothes on him. Also the noise that the doll makes when you put the teddy bear on the tummy is somewhat scarey and the eyes never stay closed to indicate sleep. It is also very hard to keep lint off of the dolls face and head. But once you get use to it, you will fall in love.
