I found this book to very informative and insightful. However I thought that some of the dialougue was hokey. There are alot of different siuations covered from intimacy to loosing your lover to AIDS. If you have ever wondered why you say some of the stupid things you say, this book may hold some answers for you. It has helped my lover and I tremendously. We have learned how to communicate, and work through our differences without arguing.

I read this book when I got involved with my first "serious" relationship after coming out. That was eight years ago and we are still going strong. I am not going to say that this book helped us stay together all these years, but it was the first resource I could read in order to understand how to make sense of my relationship.

I went on a reading binge when I first came out, and Rik Isensee's books were all extremely helpful to me. If you want to start a relationship with someone, get it off on the right foot and pick up a copy of this book. You or your partner may be dealing with a lot of unwanted baggage that will damage your relationship - it's just part of being gay and being human. Leave some of that baggage behind and enjoy your life. See also Isensee's Are you Ready? and Reclaiming Your Life, both incredibly useful.

This is simply a damn good guide for men who are in or want to form and intimate relationship with another man.

Much is familiar to male /female relationships, but men are similar in many ways and this can make effective communication more difficult

Perfect for any male couple who are just starting out or wish to improve on the quality of thier current relationship

Perhaps size is a word that shouldn't be used in a Gay book review, but much of what's here is common sense.

this book is actually cool to read, if you need some insight and can't find it on your own this book can probably help.
