A book to read--even if only for the last few pages.,

This book needs a sequel, and another, and another. It's interesting to me that there were so many who would not hold the sign, and even more interesting, what some of their excuses were. I found myself laughing at Margaret Thatcher's quote: "Well, I won't touch it. But if you place it on the table, I'll stand beside it." At least she was open to the idea of the Love sign. The Love Book is a symbol... A self named symbol for us to have and to look upon now and far into the future. It is a timeless book which only needs updates. Every culture, every era, every government should have a "Love Book" showing the diversity of the people. The Love Book is made of people, and helps us to realize that we must not take love, or people for granted. With out people, there would be no love...and with out love, there would be no people.

The LOVE book has big HEART,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Love Book (Hardcover)
This guy's my hero. A woman breaks his heart, he sets out on a journey to heal and the universe brings him to the Love sign. He heeds the sign and puts it into every hand he comes across ('cept for those who dissed LOVE). I wonder where the loveguy is now. Some nights, I pull THE LOVE BOOK off my shelf when my husband's in the other room snoring and farting - - and I think about the author schlepping that sign across the country with his message of love...

I fell for this book and it's author three sentances into the first paragraph of the introduction. His writing was moving and beautiful. I identified with the heartbreak that motivated him across the country and in front of these various people both great, small, rich and poor. All were connected just the same. I would think the author honest, true and just. His photographs were as vibrant and stunning as I imagine his heart. This book was more than a photography book and took pop-art to a new place. Long live The Love Book!

I think the word "Love" has lost its meaning nowadays but this book seems to capture it in all it's splendor.

The Love Book should be called The Shlub Book.,

This is a weak imitation of "The Red Couch." Not only are the photos dull and of poor quality, it is clear that the photographer simply shoved the sign into the unsuspecting star's hand and said "smile." I found this book terribly boring! A rerun of Bewitched is far more amusing than this journey into a man's self absorbed obsession.
